    NZHondas Dyno Results thread

    Hi All

Thought we may as well get this started properly - post your results here.

Please give some useful information about your setup (engine type, size, internals, dyno type, mods...), and preferably a dyno plot. If you have questions or comments, PM the person responsible for the post or perhaps start a different thread so this one stays spam free and informative.

This could prove to be a very valueable resource so bare in mind this is for reference value for yourself and others. This means no "I have ...., think I will get xxxxkw, I will post again later". Keep it to actual measured results!!

    Cheers,
    Lith.

Not just on a rolling road dyno Mike, some of the Dynapack readouts for torque are raw rather than adjusted.

Yes but more importantly don't forget to list final drive, gear ratios and wheel size as on rolling road all of this will change power output

    Re: NZHondas Dyno Results thread

Haven't got my dyno sheet, but my motor is just shy of 160wkw, and around the 500's torque on the Dyno Power dyno in Tauranga.

B18c block with Darton mid sleeves installed creating closed deck block
85mm bore JE 12.5:1 compression pistons.
    Eagle H beam Conrods
87.2mm B18C Crankshaft polished webs debured and balanced.
    Blue printed short block
Ported, polished & portmatched Type R cylinder head
    Ferrea stainless steel competition valves.
JG engine dynamics valve springs and titanium retainers.
JG Engine dynamics race specific camshafts.
    JG Engine dynamics adjustable camgears
Ported and reworked Type R intake manifold with 64mm throttle body
Hytec style stainless steel stepped tube design header
Light weight flywheel and racing clutch balanced
    Hondata S300 engine management.

Still got more in it, but i need to change a few things. Needs a manual steering rack, as when you take the belt of the power figure jumps buy around 5-6wkw. And a little bit of intake work would go a treat.

    S20 LSD Gearbox

Car was tuned on the street for about 2 hours just to get it running and drivable, i never got round to getting it tuned on the dyno with the ignition and cam being dialed in, but it should have made about 150hp (112wkw) at the wheels

made 127whp (99wkw) up from the 81wkw it had when i brough it (stock) so not a bad effort for a NA D-Series

    Re: NZHondas Dyno Results thread

At the last NZH Dyno day.

B18CR's that day were running low to high 120kw area.

    My motor:
    B18c
    ITR Cams
Short ram intake with Blox velocity stack and headshield.
    98 Spec Header
Mix'n match exhaust with STI muffler
    Chipped ECU running Crome
Road tuned the night before by me (first time ever tuning)

I have since done a retune with altered timing maps and lowered VTEC to 5200rpm so hope to be making more power.
