    Re: Euro r running rough

I've got the same issue (F20B rather than H22A) but mines at idle and under load through the whole rev range. It's getting worse so I reckon it's either the igniter or the coil in the distributor. I put new plugs in, new leads, cleaned up cap and rotor (which look in good condition), clened the EGR and the IAC valves and problem persists. I also got the valve clearances checked and a compression test done and it was all within spec tolerances.

Ever since I moved to Hondas I've had issues.. a bit off-putting really.

    Re: Euro r running rough

i've got the same issues and only owned my euro r 9 months

i think what packs up in them is the igniter or coil but i'm not sure.
years ago when i had a f20b sir-t i ditched the coil and went to a msd external which improved it but not completely
it's got to be spark related and i just don't believe "the ecu is crap" argument.

    Re: Euro r running rough

Wasnt it proven to be an ecu problem? Aka, convert to Crome or Hondata and instant fix? Might have been for another issue, but im sure it solves something

yes, i have used a normal obd2 scanner on my cl1 and it showed all sensor values for diagnosticz.

an ITR O2 sensor sorted my hesitation issues... its only been back twice in 2 years but dont count on it fixing yours... could be anything.
