    Clicking when going straight

    1995 honda crx del sol
Just today with my window down i could hear a clicking sound driving straight sounds like its coming from my drivers side front wheel, when i turn it sometimes goes away and sometimes makes a loader grinding clicking sound. Anyone know anything?
    Cheers

Yea talked to a c.v shop they said it will be my c.v's or wheel bearing. Is there a way to check my c.v's myself?

    Re: Clicking when going straight

    Clicking is generally a C.V

A whining noise is more common with wheel bearings, and it tends to go away at lower speeds.

One way you can rule out the wheel bearing is to jack it up, and spin the suspect wheel (fast) while holding onto a part of the suspension system (Shockie etc)
If you can hear the noise and feel a "Roughness" Through whatever you hold onto then you have a buggered wheel bearing.

The car isnt vibrating at speed is it? If so i would suspect the inner CV.

From the information you have given though, i would say it is the drivers side outer C.V at a stab

It would be more of a screeching noise then though, not a clicking/grinding.

    Could be worth checking though.

Sounds like inner CV perhaps. Is your car quite low?

If it was inner CV youd most likley notice a vibration while driving, Not saying that it couldnt be though.

    Re: Clicking when going straight

clicking in a straight line is most likely inner cv joint... clicking when turning is outer cv joint.

I mite be able to sort out a new inner cv joint for ya if you still need one? PM me
