    Squealing noise when turning left

Recently i've noticed what seems to be a squealing noise coming from the front of the car (left maybe?) when turning to the left at any speed and any degree of left turn, it does get worse the more you turn left though. A couple of weeks ago i did change to CP035's with 195 tires but im not running hub centric rings yet.

Also it sounds like there is a faint knocking sound coming from the front left wheel as well. Doesnt seem to be any vertical play in the wheel bearings though.

Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated

    could be a few things

obviously could be tyres rubbing on the gaurds or chassis etc
PS Belt loose and squeals under load

    knocking could be CV's
    loose wheel nuts :p

The noise is probably coming form your girlfriend. Are you sure it doesn't happen when you turn right too?

In all seriousness though it's probbaly a collapsed wheel bearing, the wheel is tilting while you corner and the brake disc is rubbing on the caliper. Check both front wheel bearings for play.

Also check brake caliper clearance with the spokes of your wheels. I had a set of TC05 weds which were so close to the caliper when I cornered the flex in the rim was enough to contact the back of the spokes with the caliper, and it also made a knocking noise. (only when cornering and curiously it was only on one side)

bang on - found it!!! haha

didn't even think of caliper clearance - now that you mention it though i had this issue with my civic - ITR wheels and prelude brakes - lightly touching the spokes - sorted it out obviously - but worth checking.

check your wheel bearings - but it wouldn't be my bet.

I was going to suggest wheel bearings (but usually you only hear them at low speed)

    or

Wheel alignment....if one wheel is towing in/out real bad it can cause mega squeeling of the tyres under cornering.

You will probably find your disc pads are getting low and the little warning strip will just be touching the rotor as you load it and unload it as you turn, very common complaint when I was on the tools. Dab the brakes when its making the noise and it will probably dissapear.
