House and trance but love them all

Hardstyle is getting real popular, does anyone know if hardstyle is actually a genre? Some people regard it as not even a genre???

Definitely a genre! Showtek at Space last year was easily one of my best nights evaaaaaar

Just a pity dedicated Hardstyle events are so few and far between here...

Just as long as the hardstyle stuff isn't the commercial happy hardcore style crap, some of it is pretty mint. A few big names are selling out, like Tiesto and Armin (look at Going Wrong, and In & Out of Love - and the fact he won a pop music award)... a real letdown, even if they still do remain top DJs. It is a question of whether the popularity drove them to make such commercial music, or they made commercial music to get so popular in the mainstream?

You were probably getting Hardcore and Hardstyle mixed up, and Happy Hardcore is a sub-genre mostly enjoyed by underage kiddies getting into the rave scene

UK Hardcore is pretty epic! Check out some of DJ S3rl's tracks...

I enjoy Hardcore, while it doesn't have the hard driving driving tunes that I like, it's speed is good if you're on a mission of some sort

    Re: Attention Electronica Fiends

First ones ok, synth stabs sound a bit dated, like old Mason or summin. Crookers track is pretty whack, their getting a bit hyped since daynnight blew up. Soulwax mix is king but getting well bashed over here, radio1 playing it every hour still love it though.

Can't get enough of High Contrast at the moment, dude makes some huge tunes.
