    Get DVD Decrupter from doom9.net

Used that to make an ISO of the original DVD, very straight forward
Then either use DVDD again or something like Nero to burn the ISO to DVD again

according to this: http://filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=vro it is a video recorder file, the other link points to http://dvdauthor.sourceforge.net/ for some tools, not sure if they are any good.

What do you want to do? Rip the dvd's to a different format? Edit the files directly? Have you copied the vro file directly off the dvd?

I am not very familiar with the new dvd recorder handycams, can you use them after to play the dvd and use a program like Ulead video studio or windows movie maker to record from the camera? If you can then you will have a copy you can edit and do what ever with before converting back to DVD and burning. I use Video Studio to get our home movies off our digital 8 camera, and edit them before burning to DVD, but that is an older style camera

Dont know about VRO files but I use DVD-Lab Pro, WinAVI Converter, ShrinkDVD to manage all my DVD things.
