Best to just agree or correct.

At my automotive course so far the teacher has said a few incorrect things relating to the turning and electronics section we are currently doing.
Heres a example of one of the things I could of corrected him on. "Only OBD0 cars have a diagnostic light to flash codes, Anything with OBD1 or newer requires a scan tool."
I know for a fact that there are many OBD1 cars that still have a diagnostic light to flash codes.
So my question, is it better to just agree with the teacher or should I correct him?

Don't undermine his authority as head of the class in front of other students - approach him after class and tell him tactfully the above Hopefully he'll take it on board.

Definitely correct, in saying that you need to do it in a respectful manner ie. Alone, without other class member where he won't get embarrassed/affended.

I reckon correct him, just not in an ass way. So make sure it doesn't look like you're trying to stick it to him in-front of the class. Does depend on how receptive you think your teacher is.

Yeah correct him for sure, in my automotive course if the tutor says anything along those lines I will always ask or correct but have a discussion why aswell.

Give an example of where his train-of-thought doesn't work.

eg "What about 2000 Honda Civic's or whatever, where you bridge the 2 pin plug?"

What I thought also....Say hey but what about this ? or what about that ?

At worst it will promote discussion and it may teach you something you thought you knew or it may teach him something he never knew.

Guess I will correct him then but in a polite manner such as giving a example.
Yup doing the Witt one, Boss is paying for most of it and still paying me for the 2 days work experience I'm required to do so win win.

As long as your 10000% sure your correct go for it in a polite manner.

Back when i did my course we had a guy who used to always try and correct the tutors. He used to get ripped to peices because what he thought was correct was wrong.
