Paying roughly $100/month with xnet for effectively 95GB of data (75gb free off-peak + 20gb on-peak) and the voip service over naked adsl2. Speeds are excellent and like Orcon they have their own Steam content server so you don't get charged for downloading steam games (as long as it's on the server). Would recommend but I don't think you can get my plan any more (Fusion+Torrent).
I'm just going to put it out there but I don't know if some of you know, there's this lake called the Pacific Ocean that separates us from basically the rest of the entire internet. You can't compare what the rest of the world has, especially not the states. New Zealand actually has REALLY GOOD national infrastructure for it's geographic layout and population spread, our international internet is just mud due to the aforementioned lake.Originally Posted by IV
+1. Tis easier and cheaper to lay the required connections across land borders than across this lake to an island that only has 5 million there anyway - not hundred of millions, hence move to Europe/North America and go get shot/stabbed/start a war/riot in the process.

I switched to the Genius ip phone when it came out (was with Telecom), haven't had any issues with calls but we don't use the landline much. Have had to reset the router about twice in the 6 months or so we have been on it. Make quite a few calls to Blenheim and the national calling rates on it are nice and low. Broadband speeds are fine but you do have to open up a few of the ports on the device for Xbox live to work properly.
