    Re: NZH Movie review thread

Went to splice on Friday. Interesting. Could have been a scary horror, or a creepy sci fi, or a shocking 'makes you think' movie, but it seemed like it got kinda lost in the middle and didnt know which it was going to be.

Still a good watch though, 6.5/10.

I apologise but I seem to have misplaced all my Hondas...

Watched Inception last night. 9/10 from me. Brilliant film. Found it both entertaining, interesting and very cool.

Like others on previous page, I also saw the trailer for The Town. Apart from the typical love interest part of the story (which for me personally ruin a lot of perfectly good movies) it looks like it should be awesome. How intense do those robberies/hostage takings/street battles look!

    Re: NZH Movie review thread

I watched that movie about the south africans winning the world cup (rugby)

Invictus is the name of it (after a google)

I like the lead actor, he is good in everything he does but the movie was kind of pointless....Maybe I am a little biased tho.....They put alot of emphisis on jona lomu like he was the only player in the (all black) team at the time or something.

    5/10

    Has anyone seen The Prestige?

A friend of mine rates it higher than Inception

Prestige is good, but it's not something you could watch striaght away again becasue you haven't figured out the truth... because the prestige explains it to you at the end... you wouldn't be finding out new truths etc

Sherlock holmes was a lil mind fuckery too

Fight club was an awesome movie however...

    Re: NZH Movie review thread

^^^Prestige was good as, but, it takes a wierd turn in the last 20 minutes or so, which I think kills everything else about the film. The illusionist was better at sticking in the period (of time) whereas the prestige goes Period->borderline Sci-Fi which killed it for me.

Still Bale, Jackman, Johansson = primo.

Also, agree with Nykon about Mila Kunis. She is legit in the hotness stakes. Although I personally thought Book of Eli was a bit overblown and predictable. Denzel is still a baaaad Mother Fucker though.

Something I've been watching recently late night on sky:

It's actually wickedly brutal. So much good gore for a film that was released the year I was born.

Word on the street is there is a remake coming around 2013.

Just watched Anything for Her. Decent, but a bit slow for my liking. Suspension of disbelief was not helped by the male lead being sliiiiiightly too old to be credible in the role. 6/10

Watched this with the mrs last night. Much better than I expected.. as I expected a cheesy rom-com. It's more of a rom-com-action.. got some big names in it and with Steve Carell & Tina Fey it's got lots of laughs.

    8/10
Lot of twists and turns but cool movie.

    7/10
Bit low budget but good for what it was and had a nice twist.

    9/10
Quite a sad movie, keept my full attention the whole way through.

    9/10
Way better then I was expecting but was missing a few things to give it a perfect 10.

I could go on with lots of other movies since I watch about 2 a day but these were the tops of the week.

Undisputed 2: 9/10 Pretty freaking sweet movie, fighting is top notch

Undisputed 3: 10/10 Awesome movie, need to watch number 2 to understand the story though.
Better than number 2,fighting is wicked again and Scott Adkin is the fucking boss! IMO him and Jet Li are on par, although Jet Li has alot more movie parts
Recommend them both for martial arts movie fans
Vid of Adkins training for Undisputed 3
1st fight in movie, recovering broken knee
    Cool fight after leg healed
Couple of vids for anyone interested in the movie

Ninja:9/10 Also another good movie with Scott Adkins, good fight scenes and ok storyline. Hard to tell its the same actor as in the Undisputed movies though haha
    Cool fight scene from Ninja
