    New to NZ

    I arrived on the 15th January on a perm. res. visa and plan to stay in NZ.
    I was impressed with the Honda Civic in South Africa and decided to buy one in NZ. I took delivery of it (2001) on Friday but think I bought a lemon from the Honda dealer. The car jerks at low speeds (30 - 60kph) and I wonder if the problem revolves around the CVT gearbox that I have been reading about. I will discuss the problem with Honda. I am impressed with its performance apart from the problem at the moment.

    Where in south africa are you from?

    I dont know to much about the CVT gearbox, so I wont comment on it, but enjoy your stay and hope the issue gets resolved

    Welcome to Nz, atleast you brought the car from a dealer, hope they manage to sort out your issue. When you say jerks is it quite sudden or is it more of a surge? Because I know honda cvts are quite common to suffer from this.
