It's alright, we've got the boot DVD here fortunately! This same customer actually wanted a copy of the disc for himself. The retail price on these through Honda is $1600! And our trade price is still $1000! What a complete joke
off-topic, Jono does that accord come with a smartkey (keyless entry and ignition)? Ever entertained anyone in acquiring a 2nd key?
yea. feel nervous only having 1 key
how did it go jono? any luck?

I have a japanese import honda accord 2002. I have changed the clock several times previously due to daylight savings. However daylight savings have just started last weekend. And this time round I am not able to get into the special hidden menu to adjust the clock. When I press on the Second, Third and Last button nothing comes up..I get this (assuming it is) an 'error' message in japanese at the top of the screen.
Can someone tell me what is wrong or how do I go about changing the clock? Do I need to find the CD/DVD? (not sure where I can find this from)
My stereo is the same as this: http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/g...6102009279.jpg
Please help
I changed mine on the weekend and also got the same japanese message come up on the top of the screen. I had never seen it in the past couple of years when changing the time.
I sat there for a good 20min pushing the 3 bottons before the screen let me in, then worked fine.
I dont think you need the re-boot DVD. One thing to always make sure is your car is outside as the sat nav system needs to talk to the satellite when changing the clock.

For anyone else not being able to see the photos to help adjusting the clock can try this link:

If anyone is deperately in need of a DVD disk, I've got a couple that I bought from Yahoo Auctions in Japan. 1 orange ver 9.13 (I think, the writing is bloody small) and 1 blue ver 9.16 (might be 9.18)
Don't want to sell them but i will entertain lending them.
I've tried copying them but every method I've tried of ends up making double-layer coasters. If anyone knows of a sure-fire copying method let me know and we can come to some arrangement.
Also - the second pic in NZJonos post (#71) shows it is not seeing any satellites. When it's picking up signals from satellites there will be a number of them showing as yellow discs in the circular "target crosshairs" - at any time I can see at least 5 satellites, often as many as 7 showing on the target

Interesting - Accord navi disk (2006, blue) works in Inspire.
Hi Guys, New to NZHondas.com..
Thought Id help point out how to change your Dashboard/GPS time on the Japanese Interface.
I have noticed there seems to be two different secret menus mentioned by users on this forum and no one has mentioned how to change the time for the one I have myself..
If your Secret Menu looks like the one Highlighted in Green Below then follow these instructions to change your time on your GPS/Dash.
1 - Firstly, Obviously You must get to this Secret Menu.. to get here check the image provided in the link below (for your convenience) or look back through the thread as it has been posted already.

2 - Once you are in the Secret Menu we must access the SECOND SECRET MENU
Do that by holding the button on your dash highlighted in Green below for a few seconds
3 - You should then be presented by a screen that looks like the one below.. Select the option Highlighted in green from here:
4 - Now Select "GPS Something something in Japanese" as per green Highlight below
5 - Now you can change the Offset of your time... If your GPS is set to Japan time (in which case mine was) all I did was increase the HOUR Offset by 4 Highlighted in Green below:
6 - Once you have changed it to what you want you need to click the button where my finger is pointing below (the changing number is a button itself)
7 - Save the changes you have made as per below:
You can now exit the menu and your time should now be correct (if you selected the correct offset.. took me a couple of try's to get it right)
*note* The other Offset options are for Minutes and possibly the Date (I didn't change anything else whilst I was in there)
Hope this helps people out a bit
Peace
