Thread: B20b Vtec into EG Mounts??

use the b16a mounts on the b20b motor where you can. they should all fit. as for the pumps you should be able to bolt your b16a lower power steering brackets and aicon brackets to the b20b block. use the b16a upper power steer bracket on the b16 head as the other wont fit and keep your b16a pumps

Cambelt mount side will be fine.
Rear mount you will need to get the manual bracket and it should bolt up alright.
Gearbox side you will need an auto-2-manual conversion mount Or a cheaper choice is you chop off the auto mount and wield on the manual one in the correct position.

Also being auto you will need the rest of the conversion stuff.
Axels,Hydro clutch stuff, Gearbox, Manual pedal box, flywheel, clutch, starter, manual gearbox bolts. Re-wiring the auto shifter loom to let the key go and trick it into thinking its in park.

Then finally get the ecu tuned/converted for manual and 2L.

Its pritty much all been covered before so just search it up.

Yes its the same. You have got a Auto to manual conversion mount on the gearbox/swapped the chassis one????????

Is the cambelt chassis mount loose when installing?

You may have to loosen all the mounts first and tighten them up sequentially.

Nice, Personally I would of wield in the chassis mount or at least gotten one with black rubber, And a 55 rating since you may have problems getting WOF with out upgrading the rest of them.

Im sure i'll be able to get that mount in there, but its going to pull each mount inwards putting a fair bit of stress on the rubber. This is my first honda conversion so it maybe that im just being superstitious? but would rather get it right now then have trouble later....

I Decided to go with conversion mount to prevent any welding etc and Wof Will be no problem.

You have the wrong mount. EG's in NZ use two different kind of setups for the auto mount/chassis bracket, 41 should have asked you which you need....You need the "DC2 Innovative auto to man mount" which comes out on an angle and will space the engine/box closer to the camblet side. the one you have is the EG one and comes straight up.

I should clarify that your pic isn't the best to make this assumption but it is certainly what it looks like.......Came across the issue once when I had AAP and from then on needed to see a pic, or sight the car to ensure it was the right mount....

Go to www.innovativemounts.com and have a look at the two mounts, EG and DC and you'll see what I mean....

Assuming it is the incorrect mount, there is no way you can make it worth without chopping and cutting and welding which defeats the purpose in the first place.

^ Happened with glassjaw too. He chopped the bottom off and re welded the plate across then re painted it
