Its the final round of the 2011 Honda Cup winter series this weekend . With at least 4 drivers theoretically still able to win the series overall its going to be a battle to the end . Interestingly its the 1600 class cars that are featuring at the moment with 3 in the top 4 which goes to show that winning is not all about high horsepower big dollar engines. The short track at taupo is more about driver skill and maintaining speed in the corners so its really a fairly even contest all round

The Taupo round also double as round one for the new summer series so expect to see quite a few cars out competing for the first time , particularly in the new 1801-2000 class .

Unoffical practice is on Saturday and qualifying and 3 races on Sunday .
