We are up first on Sunday so I would expect we will be out on track by 9-930am.
As with any winter series there won't be much time between races so if you would like to get a good viewing of all the races you'll need to be there early

    Practise is saturday 11am onwards.

Fair enough they are getting out there doing it (RS cup guys/gals), but just my opinion on the matter. Kinda like Mini stocks at the speed way, a very very select few people will go to watch / enjoy them other than the young guys racing them.

Quite a few cars there today - think we will probably be the biggest class but we'll see. Offered us a free race too. Cool! And well done Manfeild on drivers to pay for a single session or half day on track. All I wnated to do was scrub in some wets and do one session - they charged me $20 which I reckon was great. Pukekohe could learn something from these guys.

Wish I could have made it, but got away from AKL late.

Alan - I have your wheels from Matt.

The weather can stay cold but hope it doesn't rain! Sitting here in Palmy doesn't look too good right now!

See you all in the morning, late entry ftl, but only knew Friday whether I was going to be able to get away or not

Well what an AWESOME day, never had so much fun at the track before.

Good to meet 80% of ya and check out ya cars. Was so good to see so many hondas at manfield driven by good people.

Was a fault free day other than a few of us involved in the yellow flag incident, lesson learnt!

    Thanks again

Re: Round 4 - Manfield Autocourse, Fielding

Fully agree, was a great day for racing, the weather was clear and sunny (wind was cold though), and racing was close yet clean.

I have decided I absolutely LOVE the Manfield track, it has a good mix of both tight and fast corners, and even as someone who had never raced before didn't find it too daunting or scary. I would thoroughly recommend the circuit to anyone wanting to have a blat even in a road car.

Jason - tough luck with the suspension out of whack, still had a good battle though!

Gary - how do you manage to make your EG so wide? Getting round you is no easy feat!

Had a blast, will be back every chance I get, but after a nine hour mission through, mud, rain, and snow (epic by the way) am feeling a bit jaded (if I'm honest).

Don't hesitate people, get your cars sorted and come join Honda Cup and live the dream, the V8 SuperTourer round at Manfield is going to be absolutely EPIC!

Re: Round 4 - Manfield Autocourse, Fielding

Agreed, imagine the buzz we had yesterday with a few thousand people watching. Thanks to Alan and all of the volunteers who did the catering for us as well. A bit of a rehearsal that, but I thought it was exceptional. Nothing beats home cooking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Superb day out on track, the second race was an epic. Eight cars dicing for three laps for the lead with plenty of lead changes. No wonder we didn't see the flag when Gary binned the Silver Bullet. Still no excuse though and it was a timely reminder that even in the heat of an immense battle, we all have to have our wits about us.

No question that second race was the best race I have been lucky enough to take part in during four years of racing. For the record - a big personal Thank You to Mark Walters, Logan Morrell, Shaun Van Beers, Alan Stewart, Trevor Strong and Gary Maddock (for a short while anyway) for giving me the biggest buzz I have had since a big rowing race in 1994 and well done Tony Allpress for holding his own in the epic scrap. Hopefully he'll be back for more!! I think it'll be a while before the smile goes off my face for sure.

Biggest field again of all classes and at least four people down to have a look with a view to getting their cars into the field. We are on our way.

Re: Round 4 - Manfield Autocourse, Fielding

    Thanks Richard.

Ill certainly be back for more, so good to race a bunch of similar cars and alot of the time i was within cm's of other cars while battling which i thort was awesome and im sure everyone else will agree. Cant wait to buy a trailer and get my ef9 sorted so i can keep up with a few more of you.

I have got some camera footage from my partner filming so will post that up when i get some spare time.

Once again epic day, hopefully all the honda cup days are like that. Will certainly be worth the drive north for

Good work Tony. Was feeling scared for you in that 2nd race, but you did a great job, not an easy thing being on pole in only your second race in honda cup. Hope to see you in Taupo.

I was there as a spectator and I must say it was very enjoyable to watch, although I had very itchy feet! Good work by all and was good to see a few more cars to the series. I can sympathise with Tony being on pole early in his race career, have been there and know the feeling. Thats behind you now so it`s onwards and upwards from here, just ask Ben (Dover). Well done Honda Cup!
