Thread: da integra struts into a eg8???

had a little search but cant find answers, so simple question, can da struts with lowering springs fit in a eg sedan? i can get some da struts cheap with lowering springs, they are eye type rears so thats sweet.... change over the front forks and i should be sweet??? only thing im worried about it length in the struts, anyone done this??

Will fit if you use front forks from an EF/DA. Bear in mind that EF/DA struts are already shorter than EG/DC gear, so with the lowering springs, you may run the risk of being lower than 100mm and might get into potential trouble with the law

theres a pic in my profile of my eg8 with ef shocks and super low springs and was slammed im fairly sure it was well below 100mm

ok so how low would standard ef shocks and standard ef springs go?

whats a good combo for pick a part marerial? eg: standard ef3 rear and da5 fronts or something?

use EG stuff

EF front, DA rear. Should be relatively even, but def illegal if they have lowering sprangs. Use at your own caution.

what if they are standard springs? how much lower from standard will it be? if any?

Close to 2 inches lower with above combo. Lower if using EF gear all round

yeah i bet you baught the set on trade me i was looking at na i got a good deal on lows on shocks and a simota pod filter i couldnt say no too hahaha, but i will leave this thread up for people to search for cause im sure someone else out there is asking the exact same question

cheapp yeah im loving it, low enough to look nice, ride is nice not too firm, and it doesnt scrape with a full car and doesnt scrape over bumps so i dont need to go sideways over every speed bump, but i do it anyway

I've just swap out my da7 coilover sleeve's to my eg8 and noticed the eg gear is 2-3inches shorter than the da gear.


Both da and eg have OEM struts.
