most crashes happen on roads that people think they are familiar with, and get overconfident.

you don't know the road well enough to know about the gravel corners.
and how well do you know your car?

that sounds mad. another casualty reflecting negatively on the car scene.

The law is restricted lisence = 15yrs 6 months minimum...so do you really see as keen drivers out there as me? I think thats a good thing for future motorsport! GO HARD!

overconfidence is a killer. and just cos other people do it, isn't a good excuse.

    Holy massive post, Batman

    lets keep it simple.

You call illegal racing on a public road (with peds and traffic) motorsport.

I'm not one to go around name-calling, but I might as well get it in before you are either a statistic incapable of posting (or being a menace on the road) or get the same told to you by a judge, prior to becoming Bubbas new friend.

    Idiot!

    Hoooold up.....

You thrash your auto prelude around some hill, taking up both sides of the road...

You crash at the end even though you "know the road".....

You talk to yourself and video it....

You post it on a public video hosting site....

And everyone else APART from you are the tossers in this circumstance?

    Niiiice

You hear commentary at rugby games and other events...this is just a wee bit of teenage fun, simply a drive like all

other 'adrenalin' drives except filmed, on the road i've grown up with and have been driving since 15 and known since

much earlier years, so I know these roads very well (coming up here many times a week for whatever matter,

enjoying a sunday cruise, learning the roads and how to tackle corners or a wee bit of vtec fun). I wouldn't say it was

commentary....i was trying to get through my personality to the viewers of the video...it was nothing serious, like the

fricken world cup commentary or something...jeez!

P.S. Why am I a douche bag and do you actually know what they are?
Fuck reading all that dribble, I stopped at my SN, self obsessed of me I know...

personally... i think it was some pretty gutsy driving... good on ya. It's that kinda driving that makes pros... lol all pro drivers had to have guts like this to practice that hard...

About the complaining, meh, who cares. People are entitled to their opinions... and that was my opinion

Preludes are made to be thrashed, lol that's the only reason those cars actually sell, cheap torque and power. heaaaaaps of fun

Dude what? Its' ok to have an opinion, but not when its' blatantly stupid and supportive of this moron and his "high quality" driving..

Think about your family. You think its' all sweet as, this guy does some 'gutsy' driving.. but then getting a call from the hospital telling you that your mother was involved in a head-on with a red Honda that was on the wrong side of the road.. and your opinion will change entirely.

To red Prelude man.. you're a loser. Fuck off to another country or something, its' people like you that are dumbing down New Zealand. I don't want you on the same roads as me, and you're fuckin lucky that your pathetic video wasn't forwarded onto the Police.

You won't be so confident in your "years of driving" when you roll your car down a bank and end up in a wheelchair with a fat russian lady wiping your arse for the rest of your life... or end up with a fat russian man pummeling your arse in prison when you miscalculate a blind corner and wipe out a family going for a sunday drive, or hit some shingle (as you did) and slide into two kids walking to a friends place.

    - Pushing your car on the roads is one thing.
    - Complete and utter idiocy, with no regard for the road rules and other peoples safety is another.

The road is no place to toy with how close you can push your car to the limits, as in doing so you put all road users at as much risk as you put yourself. They don't deserve to be put at risk, they are completely innocent. What gives you the right to remove their right to live a safe and happy life? Nothing. In fact, their right is guaranteed under the Bill of Rights Act 1990, as well as the International Decleration of Human Rights. As far as I know, there is no law allowing you to be a fuckwit and use your car as a weapon. Every corner you took there, who was to say there wasn't another car coming the other way? Just because you apparently have a lot of experience, and apparently know the roads well - doesn't mean you know the future well, does it? Experience is little to go by, just look at rally drivers or F1 drivers. Even the most experienced can crash. The point is, we don't care about the risk you put yourself in, we care about the safety of other road users - because it could be any of us. It just happens that your pursuit of adrenaline rushes, and disregard for your own safety, happens to be a pursuit that cannot take place on the road. On those roads, there is very little chance to make preventive action to try and avoid a looming accident. Keep that shit to the track.

Sell your car, and buy yourself a push-bike. Then video yourself seeing how fast you can do it. Just, be careful, as I hear lunatics like to see how fast they can drive that road, and like to make full usage of both lanes.

If anyone downloaded the video, PM me.

Off to the Hall of LOL this goes, because you lack of intelligence has much lulz factor - your a joke.
