    The Pursuit of Function

    The Pursuit of Function

Found this vid on the net. I remember a few people talking about it a few years back. Its a worth while watch although i really like documentary's. Some of the shots and editing are a bit rough but there is also some really good filming in there.

Some good cars and interviews in there. I can relate to a few peoples comments about it consuming you.

Oh well enjoy it and hopefully it doesn't get pulled down.

No problem guys, thought some of you would enjoy it. The guy that has a beanie and eye liner is annoying to look at but he has some worth while things to say.

    Re: The Pursuit of Function

last year i watched it, and hated it.... i lost all found respect for those idiots

"the integra type R is the pinacle, it is a dream car" blah blah

meanwhile they're all rocking standard as carby Eg hatches/ base model Ek's, and spending a fortune on... " i saved for years for that one rare JDM part"

    nugga please...

new zealanders could out do them, we plenty have CTR's/ ITRs to start as a base, and would pwn them if we had the money too....

"i spent 100k on my dx hatch" LOLZ!
" my buddy had this coupe... had gsr's on it... it was siik...
" yeah got me a ef hatch, me and my buddies put a b16 in it... yeah... we realy got into it"
" everyone knows, a project car, becomes more than just a car, its a... car"

    ppppfftt!

tyson, they aint got nothing on your JDM baller status
    /hating rant

    Re: The Pursuit of Function

bahahaha, lol at the last comment. NZDM nugga plz .

You'z a hater, not just any hater, a hater of your own kind!!

Sure some of those guys talk a bunch of crap about how awesome gayDM is and all that crap. Its pretty common for people to get a bit egoistic if they're selected for something like this and then a camera is pointed at them, most of the guys are no doubt mega forum whores with mad e web skills and an XXXXL E-penix.

But hey, its a documentary which is all about looking into other peoples lives and finding out stuff about them. There is no doubt they've got a completely different scene to what it is over here and in some senses its a very large money race to see whos the best (especially for the show scene), where as most people in NZ choose a Honda because it represents good value and its all they can afford. Hey i'd own a Porsche if i could afford it...

Plus Ian you have the biggest JDM baller status down here

Haha cheers. It is pretty amazing how much 'the scene' has changed since then. All about sacked cars with mega low offset wheels and tyre stretch. People are going crazy far with their engine bays. Braces for everything are all the craze. Carbon is past its used by date. Rust is creeping in with some resistance. 'Track days' are as popular as ever and drag racing is near dead. K swapping is the norm. S2000's have become more affordable and more modified.

Oh so much change in so little time really...

It's a very good piece! It's good to see some guys that are into the JDM scene that don't slag off everything that doesn't add power.

I found it most interesting and it really shows that not all "boy racers" are ''yeh bo, do sum hearty peelz wit yo woodstocks" like alot of people think they all are.

Girlfriend thought it was A1. She saw the yellow rocker cover on it and now wants a B16A Civic with a Yellow Rocker cover = Good bitch!
