NZ and australia spec should be the same for most hondas... yeh?
Qualified mechanic - will do cash jobs. PM me
I think they are a little different. All i know is that they have an Integra LS no XSI/RSI.
...or if you're referring to the EK Civic VTi-R hatchback, they're the same between NZ and Oz, although Oz changed to the Civic VTi-R Coupe twoards the end of the model's cycle.
The last model VTEC Preludes were the same also.

yea zc r 1600 dohc
found in si model civics n crx's
but dont think that all si r 1600 dohc tho
like a dc2 si is 1800 dohc vtec (b18c)
umm yea abit confusing ay
ur one should b si
i think its "si vtec" not just "si"Originally Posted by MEAN4S

see that's what i am talking about , what i read here is zc only for ef..
but i have a eg si with a zc, and in usa si = vtec, but mine is not ...
there is si for eg as well
its 1600 dohc non vtec
hmm so r u wanting to know if ur engine is vtec or wat?
cos ur rocker cover should say vtec/ dohc vtec if it is vtec...
no
just want to clear myself
when i read/search the hybrid section... most of the zc goes to ef.... and i couldn't find anything that zc with eg....

The US only got DOHC VTEC Civics in 99, badged Si
i dont think it really matters cos they r the same engine
i think the reason y u find most in the ef is cos they changed they zc to the d15b 1500 sohc vtec for the eg..
but egs stil hav zc engines
the later zcs hav 137hp if i remember correctly
not to sure when they start tho

dont even talk to the US guys about their hondas, they are so different as they were not made in Japan and shipped over. They were made at Honda USA (i think its in Detroit) and were made to different specs.
talk to anyone is Aussie, or New Zealand, or Hong Kong, etc etc. Our cars are closer to the original jappas.
