    Re: CL7 / CL9 Accord Euro (R) Owners thread

2005 5spd auto/tiptronic - NZ New - purchased from Fleet Partners so had a full service history

    Modifications:
    K&N panel filter
    50mm Vogtland springs
    35% Tints
    18" Modulo rims
    German plates
A few little things under the bonnet, just things I had left over from the sale of my ITR - J's Racing radiator cap, Mugen oil cap and Spoon socks

Although tempting to dress it up a little more I'm really happy with the way it looks and even more so with how it drives. I love the auto box for daily driving and the tiptronic is reasonably responsive when going through windy roads to the Coromandel. It's lowered, handles well and I can actually get into carpark buildings!
It has enough power to haul around a load of passengers and doesn't struggle to tow a 19ft boat up the ramp, will tow a couple of MX bikes soon too. Just a great all round car.

They just don't do it for me - They look bloody nice and drive very very well but There is no raw uncontrolled VTEC burst with them anymore, you floor them and it just feels like computers are controlling your every move.... Same with most of the new Honda range. VTEC on the new V6 Accord is pretty much just there for economy.

I'd still own one as a daily but would keep the Prelude for fun!

2005 Mugen Accord Euro NZ New, well not really bought the car as a "sports" model and had the kit installed about a month later, lowered on H&R springs, Full Mugen Aero kit, Mugen front grill, Mugen Exhaust, Mugen Visors, Mugen oil filler cap, Mugen radiator cap, K&N panel filter, BuddyClub voltage stabiliser/Earthing system, 6000K HID kit still waiting on some 19s and rear camber correction arms

Love this car smooth, quiet easy to drive, with some cosmetic mods definitly a head turner

Yeah I know but I've got other priorities. I've already modified it more than I intended to. In fact I should probably stop looking at this thread!

I do need some rear camber correction arms though. Almost bought some from the US but the dollar fell apart so just waiting for the right time. Tried organising a group buy but there weren't enough owners on here to make it worthwhile.

What colour interiors do you guys have?
I've look at getting one and it's been hard to find one without the suede colour interior, and now i know where all the black ones have gone!
What would be a good price for a 2004+ auto with under 100kms?
    If in doubt, pull out.

    Re: CL7 / CL9 Accord Euro (R) Owners thread

I have a black car with the ivory cloth interior. I wasn't too keen on it at first but it's fine. Sure it'll get dirty after a while but I'll just get it shampoo'd when it gets to that stage.

I can't say anything regarding Teins but the Vogtlands are good. Deffinately firmer than standard but it's still a very comfortable ride.

    Here's mine:

    2003 6sp Manual - NZ New

Exterior is NH-624P Premium White Pearl and interior colour is Ivory. I wasn't that keen on the interior colour when I got it but it has grown on me now lol.

    Things done:
    - Custom Intake
    - 18" ANZ Drift RS wheels
    - Tein S-Tech lowering springs (really unhappy with them)
    - Ingalls Smartarm rear camber/toe kit
    - Added a sub and amp in the boot

    What I want to do:
    - Lip kit
    - Tints
    - New suspension
And if I still have the car by the end of the year possibly a S/C kit

Here's are link to the online service manual, I found it while trawling OZHonda. Just make sure you open it in Internet Explorer or else it won't load:

Don't know about Vogtland springs but I'm keen to try them. I've got Tein S-Tech springs at the moment and they are really harsh. They take away from the comfort the CL9 is known for. And when I ordered them they only listed the springs for the CL7 not the CL9.

Where's you get the rear kit from? I'm seriously chewing out my 18" rubber which I think will fail a WOF soon so I'd rather spend a little on sorting the problem than more tyres.

I got them from a company in the states called Import Auto Performance. Not long after I got it they stopped selling it but have it back in stock. It cost me just under NZ$300 all up shipped to my door back when the dollar was really good and it has been a really good investment considering I have expensive tyres.

Here's a link to their product the page:
Import Auto Performance - Suspension - Camber Kits - Ingalls - 03-07 Honda Accord/TSX/TL Ingalls Adjustable Rear Camber/Toe Kit
And yes they do ship internationally. I found them really good to deal with, and received my kit in just under a week from purchase. If anyone's keen they should hit them up about a groupbuy.

    Hope that helps.

hmmm... i haven't noticed any excessive camber wear on my tyres yet...

maybe because i'm always changing my rim and tyre setups
