Thread: car shipping, chch to auckland

Hi Guys,

I need your help.
You are generally good helpers i have noticed

i have done a search but cant really find anything

I am swapping the subbie for another bat. issue is, gotta get the subbie upto auckland and the 7 down to chch. we have both thought about driving half way to meet each other, but the fact is, he is from whangarei and the other point is its near on 500hp its not the most economical car lol, and i am flat out at work and dont hae the time to do the drive.

so really my question to you all is.

Who do you use?
What is the rough cost?

They don't have any prices on their site, but I think it's relatively cheap to ship between islands - around the $150-200 mark for chch to PN I think... (don't quote me on that!)

Would be worth calling them, they would definitely look after your car too.

i used them to ship my old car from auckland to chch.

I'd recommend Jeffs - www.jeffs.co.nz My car was dropped off at the train station in Dunedin, a comprehensive 'current condition' report was written up and the car arrived in Auckland a couple of days later. Checked off the report and there was no additional damage etc. Picked up the car from the Toll Tranzlink yard in Onehunga. Very easy.

train is by far the cheapest, but they forklift your car onto the carriages and off..

if you dont mind that then go train.. but a specialised car delivery company would be best

No offence to you, but if someone was going to drive up my old car and pick up my new car, I'd be making sure its someone I know damn well
