Ill need to figure out how to turn the view finder off because the battery ran out after 20 mins with a 2 hour tape.

Nothing, it's just an adrenaline rush..... smoke, noise, because.... hell, why do people jump out of perfectly good aeroplanes?

Its all about the keeping a sustained loss of traction, how long u can do it aswell as being able to feather the throttle with gear changes throwin in there too & making it to the highest gear you can without going down the rev's at the sametime making plenty of smoke.

Is that a good descripton hehehe

I dont do'em anymore either, tyres cost too much ! only on the drag strip before a run  but its still cool to watch and hear, and that looked like a good pl for it.

    +1

Although I'm not much of a fan of watching ANY skids.... fail to see the point.

In the 6 years since we've been running the Burnouts up here, around 3,000 people have watched 30 cars do 2 burnouts each year. That's 180,000 burnout views per year for a total of 1,080,000 burnout views.

That's a hell of a lot of people watching skids au

I don't know if they see the point, perhaps there isn't one.

Oh exactly... hell, I'm not begrudging anyone their fun... if that's what they're into, do it Just in the same way drifting's not for me... while I can see the appeal it might have for some people and the skill involved in both driving and car-setup, for some reason it just don't light my fire.

possibly because why go sideways round the corner when you can go round it as fast as possible and get your lap time as low as possible!

ive never liked drifting, however the occassional skid in the driveway or on the grass / trying to kill a steam train D series is entertaining

although, seeing the S13 performance car calender car in person and basically licking it makes me think of going to the dark side.. haha

thats my reason why i do skids aswell. i love sittin in 2nd gear baking a stanstill in my accord. alltho the tyres dnt last long going 80km/h and going nowhere and they tend to pop.. theres another reason to see who can pop a set of tyres the fastest.

im sick of watching nissans skid its not cool anymore

I know, it's hard to explain. You'd think after all that time (and at my age 8O ) I'd get sick of it. But when you get there and the rubber starts flying and the smoke and powerful engines and atmosphere..... it just sort of takes over.

    Kinda strange.....

I like front wheel drive skids better because its funny when they are dragging the back wheels along while locked. Kind of remind me of a ran over possum lol.
