Can't remember when the last time I posted in this forum. I guess by not owning a performance honda kinda put me a step back, but finally able to sneak one in just before my wedding (so no approval from wife is needed) Been owning the R for over a year now, not a run around car, just something to fill in the hobby of going to trackdays. Entered a local time attack event just after 2 weeks of owning it and won the first place in class, and lots of good things followed after.
the CE28-TA Version is sitting in the garage after trying to follow Wong's style of 4door Civic on BBS LMs.
Currently sitting in the painter to get the paint refurnished with new carbon bits being installed. More pics to follow.....

Why ?
Just picked this up today:
That's right, Team NZH reppin' Toyota. Body was panel+painted last year, so it's straight as. Even though it has a slushbox, the 1JZ makes for great fun.

I've been very very tempted to sell my EJ1 and get one of those ^^
Very good buy considering the potential and the prices they seem to be going for.
Been browsing a few forums today, people seem to be able to get a 12 second pass out of the stock turbos which surprised me as I thought 12s for under $10k was realistic.
Maybe 10s for under $10k then![]()
Yep, they are definitely a very underrated car here in NZ, so long as you don't mind it being automatic they are amazing bang for buck. The Jap's seem to love them. Tonnes of parts seem to swap between the JZ chassis' too, except anything gearbox related costs a fortune. Cusco have a brand new R154 box on Trademe for 3.5k

I used to own a 2JZ Soarer, loved that thing, only reason I sold up was that A.) I'm a poor student and a 3L inline 6 is a bit thirsty and B.) It was auto and I wanted to learn to drive manual. I miss it sometimes
Reminiscent photo:
Wish I had more money back then to lower it more and pump those wheels out![]()
