Honda generally try and out do themselves when they bring in a new engine series though - this engine seems like a step backwards.
ZC<B Series<K Series<????
and there was still room to improve on k series engines im fairly certain... thinking here of something similar to dual vct for intake and exhaust unless thats already been done..? i mean b18cr's
have been around since 1996 lol and make that power, would rather have a late model evo for the price
What a ridiculous looking car.
And oh man, 2 litre turbo means a lot less than it used to. Why can't the "performance" model Honda have some sort of utterly manic, boosted K24...? ...Pleeez Mr Honda? ....Or anyone?
(...Or even that JTune "simple" K24 I saw a thread about on here six months ago...? )
Yes I wish that for just one time you could stand inside my shoes
You'd know what a drag it is to see you.
hope this is not true, am really disappointed otherwise. A 2000cc turbo that only makes 210bhp? I would be jumping off my seat if they were to make a type r that competed with other 2000cc turbos with 280bhp.

I guess the main thing these days is that it has to appeal to the mass market and not the purists.......... You've only got to look at what Audi and BMW have been forced to do with their engine sizes and even Ferrari and other such makers talking of downsizing engines in favour of super or turbo charging to get economy up and emmissions down.........
It's a sad but true fact of life that it's going to get harder and harder to find those hardcore cars we all love, but I guess it just makes it more fun to modify them to make them what we want, but then again the government is making that harder too.............
I think we should start a craze modernising older models so that way we get the best of both worlds !

I've been into modernising older models for years, that's why things like K-swapped EGs appeal so much. Good old hands-on chassis dynamics with a modern engine. If this thing is going turbo the engine could quite possibly be downsized to a 1.6 or even 1.4.
