Thread: Question regarding Honda civic LXI (1995)

Hi, im wanting to buy a honda civic from trade me, and it says the model is LXI (also says this on trade me).

I have tried my best to find it on wiki or google, but cant seem to find that Honda even released a 1995 civic LXI, so having a hardtime tracking down what engine it does have. On car jam it says the VIN is

7A3EH9550SN300320

After more searching i think that EH9 is the model number, and searching for what engine EH9's have, another forum says they have D16Z6, which is supposed to be a vtec (i think) but the pics dont have a vtec engine.

I suppose my question is - what the hell is going on with that car? why cant I find out about it? Any help with any of what I have said would be great

A/C was a factory option off the showroom floor. Along with the rev counter gauge cluster, electric windows (although most 4 door lxi models have them), and as mentioned 4 wheel disk brakes. d16a7 is a 1590cc single cam non vtec motor, reliable and very economical, and just go forever if they are well looked after. Being Nz new, the vehicle will also have had a fairly good life for the first 100,000km part as they usually have service history up until about then, and generally speaking most people who buy these Nz new models usually keep them in good condition.

I had one of these a few weeks ago that was a real odd one, Has the 2 solenoids onb the back of the head so it seems it may have been Vtec-E, There was nothing anywhere that said vtec but it looked like it was.
