Then can u please send an email to powerbuilt_raceway@live.com
This will contain the following details so we can track who has paid

Name:
Type of Car:
Rego Number:
Contact Number:
And if paying for DVD also:

So first in first served guys, can't wait to see you there.

Other Details to remember.... Thanks Vtakyo as I borrowed this off ur trakcday if thats ok.

There will be no refunds. Once you pay your entry fee, that is it!!

Competitors need to be @ the track before 8:45am.

This is so we can discuss the finer details of the day, fill out forms and get the
scutineering done. You should be on the track not long after.

Cars are released at 10 second intervals, and each run is limited to 5 laps - but you are free to exit the track through the pit lane at any point. This takes the form of a “driver training day”, so there is no specific race structure as the event has no
MANZ affiliation.

Basic Requirements
Drivers Licence for the liability forms
Warrant of Fitness or current MSNZ Log Book
No Open headers
Battery secure
No lose objects inside of car

Quick inspection of helmet
And a general look around of the car (to be no leaking fluids, shocks, loose hosing, worn or loose wheels/tyres, glazed brakes etc)

Helmet - up to your personal preference, open face or full face, no cycle helmets though.

Clothing - covered footwear must be worn, along with a race suit or cotton mechanic style overalls.

Fire Extinguisher – This is to be mounted securely inside your vehicle. You can pick up a small suitable fire extinguisher for as little as $30 from most car parts stores.

Interior Stripping - Almost anything goes, as long as you still have a seat to sit on and have interior door panels must ramin. And there may be no loose objects ie spanners and the likes.

Exhaust - Full exhaust system must remain.

Brakes - I thoroughly recommend a fluid flush & bleed at the least. Upgrading brake pads is also a wise idea, along with upgrading fluid – as Ruapuna will test your braking system.

Track Rules
No alcohol on the premises.
No intentional loss of traction, accidental is ok.
There is a 30km/h speed limit in the park area, 15km/h in the pits.
Smoking only allowed on the grandstand and spectator banks.
Spectators must remain in the designated areas, and approved people (members) are allowed in the pits. Nobody is allowed on the track unless allowed to by the event organisers.
Food – There is a Burger King, McDonalds, Subway, KFC, Pizza Hutt, and Hells Pizza nearby in Hornby. A 5-minute drive from the track.

If u have been missed please contact us ASAP!!

I could be keen too. Especially since I skipped SIMM to pay for a trip to Perth.

Re: 22nd September Trackday

Question for anyone (I'm a trackday virgin):

I've been meaning to get coilovers for a while and this would be good motivation to get some. I'd have a WOF and reg but would they turn me away for not being cert'd? (might not have the $$$ to stretch that far)

On a similar note, some punk smashed one of my mirrors of and havent replaced it ($200+ was a quote I was given) - Would they turn me away for this, even though I have a WOF and reg? Safety via visibility issue maybe...

Cheers

Re: 22nd September Trackday

Im not a track marshall so I may stand to be corrected.

I have not had any issues for not having certified coilovers.

I cant see a missing mirror being a problem either. Racecars dont have them....???

Re: 22nd September Trackday

just cause ur car had a WOF and reg doesnt mean anything it must be at WOF standard everytime its on the road.

that said its up to the organisers to decided weather they can let u race or not

Re: 22nd September Trackday

MSNZ regulations require a vehicle to be fitted with at least one rear vision mirror, so that the driver can see behind and down both sides of the car. Since your interior mirror doesn't see down the sides of the car, your in a bit of a pickle. I haven't seen a dedicated race car without wing mirrors... However, for this trackday it will be up to the organisers. If I was running the day I wouldn't let you race, as in a sedan you have hazardous blind spots. Turning around in your seat to check them while doing 130km/h into the sweeper or Flexoplas corner isn't exactly feasible, and without seeing down the side of your car you may end up having a side impact.

Un-certed suspension is no issue for a private trackday, providing it is not leaking and is safe. Just hope Mister Po-Po doesn't ping you on the way!

I doubt I will be in for this day as it is too close to NIMM and I am busy sorting my car for the new clubsport season.

Not the answer I wanted to hear but was what I was expecting.

Cheers. I'll hold off on the the coilovers then. Not worth it. I'll just go enjoy the day.

Exactly why I thought it would be an issue. Cheers for the help.

CF4 left mirror anyone? Hmm... wonder if I can repair my old one.

Re: 22nd September Trackday

I will agree that a rear vision mirror is a must, coilovers is all good but will have to pass the scrutineering. Have got several well knowledged guys doing the checks, so if they are happy with the setup it is fine.

Re: 22nd September Trackday

If the day is run right then you won't have the issue of select cars slowing people down. You aren't racing, it is just individual sprints. Just class them right and release them at the right intervals. Generally for speed events we release at the braking mark before the first corner if you are running the GP circuit. Mind you, the drivers at clubsport events are more consistent, and within the class all run similar laptimes... unlike these open days where someone could have a WRX but be running in the 1:50's, but someone else in a Barina running 1:42. Hard call indeed!

Re: 22nd September Trackday

Down to 5 spots now, hey mate u wont need to worry about slowing people down at all. Its a day for everyone to try and if u are not too confident then u can feel free to start closer to the back of 10 car lots that go onto the track til ur confidence builds up. I will be classing most cars in the same power lots, like 2.0 turbos together etc etc so you will at the beginning of the day be with cars of similar power.

Mate ur car will go hard on there, trust me if its good weather out there Im sure u will definitely suprise the subbi drivers and alike on what a honda can do mate.

Just give it a go, and I can garuntee u will have a blast . And if cars do catchup, all u have to do is let off the accelerator for a second or so and pull slightly to the side to which the person will whiz by. Its very painless and I will bet that honda will be going hard all day. Unlike quite a few subbis like mine who lose scoops haha. Also I only get about 18-20 laps and then Im empty haha, I bet ud get to have far more time out there on a single tank then the 2.0 turbo guys.

At the end of the day its not about speed, but about having fun and learning to handle ur car in a controlled environment. Its a blast, my first trackday I took my stock v2 wrx and it was the slowest on the rexnet trackday. I was getting passed by every STI but damn did I have fun haha.

Plus not a single Honda has entered, someone has to come rep for Nzhondas. I didn't realise NIMM was so close, but ah well Ill make sure when i plan the next trackday I pick a date not so near to SIMM or NIMM.
