Location: Taupo Centennial Park Raceway
Date Thursday 11 September
Time -8.00am - 4.30pm
Cost - $140 for the first 40 people paid, $170 for racer number 41 and above. Pay when its cheap!
Track – Full track ! ! ! !

Drink up at the pub on wednesday and thruday night!!!!




Track Day Programme

8.00am Gates open, please be there early so we can get more time racing . Car inspection
9.00am Driver Briefing
9.15am Track 1 Cruise Tour - everyone will go around the track for 3 laps
9:30am Track opens for racing
12:30pm Lunch.
1:00pm Restart
4.30pm Track & pits must be clean and everyone off the venue[/align].

Competitors need to be scrutineered before the drivers briefing. Get to the track early!



Drivers requirements for the day.

Basic requirements for the street cars at the track day are:

- Warrant of Fitness
- Battery secure
- Checks in engine bay for water leaks or oil leaks
- Checks body parts - make sure nothing will come off the car ( eg. bonnet, Spoiler, canards or diffuser )
- General Checks
- Exhaust noise level: There is a noise limit at the track. Not sure if a BC spec2 will pass but got told before it wont . . don't think anyone will be running that


Wear and Safety

Helmet: Up to your personal preference, open face or full face, no cycle helmets

Overalls: Race suit or cotton (mechanic style) overalls. ( there will be "Jtune overall " if you are lazy or cant get one )

Fire Extinguisher: Not a must have but prefer to have one fitted, we will offer you guys some at a cheaper price ( will be posted shortly )
Is only 30 to 40 dollars at Super Cheap Auto, and makre sure is metal backet

If you have one fitted make sure if till showing green on the indicator which means is in good working order


Rules


1)No Drifting
2) Speed Limit 40km/hr in pit lane.
3) No ALCOHOL at all time within the premises
4) No passenger allow, unless its a race car MANZ Prof, meaning full cage and harness down for driver and passenger

doubt it bro just like drags you pay before scrutineering and if you fail thats too bad, i suggest you check everything off on that list jacky posted and make sure your car is sweet

is there any problem if i have some marks of oil on the engine ? is not leacking anymore and i can't be bother to wash it

just a note:

we are lookin towards for more quality cars
there will be cars in Production Class, SS2000 and maybe cars from D1 out there testing and that so we dont want any cars that wil drop oil or may blow a water hose during the day

rather want a little jazz or swift out there racing then someone they will cause problem plus it will be pretty stink for ur car to break down there and tow home right?

so if you are planning on racing, please and make sure everything is fine and up to spec, even so... there are chances cars will break down or drop oil but prefer less chance

Looks like it would be a mean trackday. If it wasnt at my busiest time of the year i would have come down. Are you guys doing the track with the normal S's onto the front straight? or with the 90degree A1 corner?

Havn't raced the new A1 corner yet, but that looks more fun to me. Good brakes FTW.

The new turn 15 is OK as long as you've got plenty of brakes but it makes the following righthand turn 16 VERY different and your entry position (and speed) into turn 17 onto the front straight is quite different again.

Would be interested to know how much of a difference it makes to a perfect lap with each configuration ??

My datalogging shows about 3.4 seconds longer from braking point into the final complex to the start finish line... so it's a fair old whack.. makes that last complex MUCH slower.

Oh, and I'd LOVE to come... don't think the cr will be finished then though
