so from wat i read, some guy in an accord drove into a very expensive corvette, and who was driving it wasnt too happy and now going to make the guy in the accord's life a living hell?

was the guy in the accord doing anything stupid? eg burnout, skids, speeding?

pretty much.. corvette did a pirouette .
and went straight again.. and starts crabbing big time

accord driver confused a green to go left as a green to go straight as there is no arrow on the lights.. just a small sign that says left only

the guy in the accord went stright ahead from the pak n save car park which is left turn only, and he drove stright to try get to the k mart/ car park and the corvette was just going stright and got t boned by the accord, late 80s early 90s i think

neither party had insurance, so im not sure whts gonna happen there lol.
full fiberglass guards n stuff on that corvette. cant be cheap to fix that and the chassis!

apparantly that Corvette is worth like 70-80k. was funny that it created more damage while it was gettin loaded onto his mates trailer. 0_0 probably claim in from the accord guy.

was the accord guys fault. he went straight when its left turn only. it is a pretty confusing intersection thou!

all in all a very eventful meet. great turn out. great to meet sum new people and familar faces

I'm suprised that the Accord picked up that much speed by the time he reached the corvette, unless the light was green already and he just carried on.

the front is pretty long and low so while it was getting on, the side skirts and front bumper pretty much cracked and fell off. was stupid to see. the corvette guy kept driving it like he didnt give a shit wht happened to the car.

yea it was green light on both the accord and the corvettes end. just the accords greenlight is for left turn only, not straight. i think he floored it from the lights. sounded like he did.. mmmm

Was a great first meet. Shame it had to end that way. Corvette was a 1991. When he loaded it on the trailer he was majorly scrapping the bottom of it. Why would you own a car like that and not have it insuranced.

Think of it from the insurance companies POV. It's a rare car with hard to come by parts. If he had a minor accident, i.e. crashed front bumper/bonnet/fender, then insurance would have to pay for repairs (cause it's not a write off). You think a new bonnet/panels are easy to come by for this car in NZ? Prob cost them a sh*tload more to fix than it's really worth. I'm not that surprised that he doesn't have insurance, it's just really unfortunate it happened to him with that car.

Gutted we didn't get to go do some spirited driving (that was a major turn off for everyone I bet)

The vette owner handled it reasonably well considering his situation. That one asian chick was saying stuff like "I don't know why these people still stick around here". I was only sticking around cause I saw a very angry stocky fella that might've pounced on the kid. Then who's gonna pull him off? The chick? But didn't open my mouth obviously, just left.

I overheard her talking a bit about the dude. Seems like the situation is a lot deeper than just the 2 broken cars, but I wont disclose.

shit yeah well wouldnt you.. i know ive been in that guys situation.. (not with a 40,000) car, and i only had 3rd party he had no insurance.. and i wanted to kick the living shit outa the guy.. still wish i had.. lol
