NZHondas North Island Mega Meet
Track Day '08

• Location: Taupo Centennial Park Raceway
• Date: Friday 17th October
• Time: 8.00am - 4.30pm
• Cost: $125
• Track: Taupo Track 4
• Entrants: Max of 49 vechiles(1 entrant per car, ie; no multiple drivers or vehicles)

Please make sure you have got your full name and address details up to date in your profile BEFORE you PM me. We will be sending out track day packs to everyone before the track day, like last year. If you move between now and then, again, update your details!

Track Day Programme

• 8.00am Track opens, Competitors and helpers arrive. Set up of cars begins, no one will be on the track at this stage.
• 9.00am Briefing with all drivers on how the day will be run.
• 9.15am Racing begins.
• 12:30pm Break for lunch.
• 1:00pm Racing commences again.
• 4.00pm Racing will finish.
• 4.15pm Clean up will begin, start to leave track.
• 4.30pm Track & pits must be clean and everyone off the venue.

Competitors need to be scrutineered before the drivers briefing. Get to the track early!

Drivers requirements for the day.

Basic requirements for the street cars at the track day are:

• Warrant of Fitness
• No Open headers
• Battery secure
• No lose objects inside of car
• Quick inspection of helmet
• And a general look around of the car

If you pull up and one of your wheels has only 2 wheel nuts on it and the front guard is stuck on with race tape you wont be getting onto the track.

• Helmet: Up to your personal preference, open face or full face, no cycle helmets though. Remember, it's your head, you only have one, get something decent.
• Overalls: Race suit or cotton (mechanic style) overalls.
• Fire Extinguisher: Not an absolute must, but would be appreciated for your own safety if you were to have one mounted securely inside your vehicle. You can pick up a small suitable fire extinguisher for as little as $30.
• Interior Stripping: Anything goes, as long as you still have a seat to sit on and can strap yourself in. Just remember that loose objects will become high velocity missiles inside the car.
• Exhaust: You must have a full exhaust system. There is a noise limit at the track so open headers are out of the question.
• Brakes: We thoroughly recommend a fluid flush and bleed at the least. A fluid upgrade and change at the time of changing/upgrading brake pads is also a wise idea.
• Passengers: Apparently this point didn't get across last year at the drivers briefing, so here it is in English. If you want to take a passenger, you must have a MANZ approved cage (Log book or Certed), Harness for both driver and passenger, and they must have the same standard of helmet and overalls as the drivers.

Food and Coffee caravan will be available throughout the day!
