Exhaust Question

I am in a position where i must reduce the noise of my exhaust.

currently I have a 2.5" system, with 2 resos and a twin tip muffler. its sounds really nice and deep, and it would be good to retain that and get nowhere near the tinny sound a lot of hondas get

if i do anything i would like it to be easily removeable

I was told a CTR muffler would probably bolt on, and make it a lot quieter, whilst not losing power and still sounding good

is this true?

car is an h22a eg5.

Re: Exhaust Question

just had to see magoo about this aswell and this is what they suggest

Quote:
by replacing a resonatar(sp?) the air will still pass it too fast to do sfa so your better replacing the tip, and you should get a rough 20db decrease"
which puts me just around the legal limit

Re: Exhaust Question

i got the same problem, my exhaust is 98db back pressure which is above the limit of 95db. what is the best solution to reduce the exhaust noise? check out my post.

if i put another resonator, i dont know if it will reduce the noise and il just be wasting money.

Re: Exhaust Question

well by installing an end muffler the back pressure ( gases ) go back up and fill the resonators with gas therefore making it quieter
