EG broken window mechanism

Hello Y'all

my drivers side window is broken. it was lowered, then when you push the button to make it go back up it stops halfway and dangles to one side. it wont go any higher, but you can put it down again.

so i opened up the door card and found the glass had come off the front runner (when looking at the door from the inside). If you manage to get it back on, you can force the window up by using the switch and your hand but its still fucked, it goes at an angle and wont go all the way up unless pushed.

I'm fairly sure its not the motor, its more a physical problem with the runner\glass mechanism.

has anyone come across this before? I might have to take it to Honda tomorrow, but thats gonna cost shit loads...

you can fit it yourself.....unless the plastic tab has come off the glass ??? (assuming its held on that way) then its a bit of a bitch....have to stick it back on....I use panelbeaters bog for that.

can help if you like......em.....maybe take a look tomorrow at the meet ?? to establish if thats the prob ???

check its the regulator tho.......make sure its not the clip off the window thats come off....its like a half round shaped thingy that glues to the window......and has a hole in it to bolt it to the regulator.

hmmm ok will do that tomorow. the thing is i temporarily fixed it yesterday, and it was fine till today when it screwed up again. which makes me think its more than a loose clip.

heh, not loose.....come off.......I know they are prone to it on lots of cars thats all....and you dont want to buy a new reg and still have the prob......easy anyway, just look and there will be two of them, one at either end of the glass.

make sure they are stuck to the glass and if so then its the reg thats fuxord for sure.
