CV nuts are on very very tight ie BB Prelude's are done upto 184ft-lbs or 250nM where as wheel nuts are anywhere between 50-80 ft-lbs. ive done a few with half inch, but mostly use a 1inch rached and or power bar, but Ive had to jump on the power bar.. I recommend using a 1 inch + 32mm and maybe a power bar.or a tube to make the handle longer.

Then do it up with a really long pole over it, be careful not to smash the side mirrors off lol. Also need some one standing on the brakes each time. |

One time we had the car jacked up, power bar on the nut, started the car and let the clutch out. Bang power bar hit the ground, and loosened the nut. Don't try it tho, cause power bar can come loose and fly down the side of the car (denting it etc) lucky it didn't dent my car. |

lol that is a crack up idea. Might do it if i'm working on something rough. After hitting a bank at 190 kph in the EF9 and then breaking a 1/2 inch power bar and then jumping up and down on a full inch very long power bar and still not coming off. We took the whole and drive shaft to a truck work shop and it took some heat on the nut, 1 inch heavy duty rattle gun with the compress on full tit and over a minute of hammering rattle gun action. The truck guys couldn't believe it .190 kph EF9 plus grass bank = not reccomended

| Senior Member 6,000rpm (Max Torque) | Re: how do you guys usually open the 32mm CV screw? this is what i did: put the car on the ground (with no centre cap) spray with plenty of penetrating oil or sumthin similar put on gear (1 or R) get some one to stand on the brake my 3/4" power bar with my 3tonne floor jack's handle (i think about 1.4 mtr or slightly more) put the socket in and jump on the bar dont forget to 'unlock' the tab.... note: might want to get a spare hub nuts... just in case.
