| Accord F22B Vtec..surging on open road, ideas? Hi there, I have a 96 Accord US wagon, F22b SOHC Vtec...it is constantly surging/missing at open road speeds, and is driving me crazy, feels a bit like a plug lead is being pulled off intermittently. Anyway I've replaced the following..Cambelt/tensioner/waterpump, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, fitted new genuine Honda leads, had timing checked and reset, even had ERG ports cleaned out, cat removed, and run it on 95 octane and have put a few heavy duty fuel cleaners through. It has done it since I purchased it, and nothing has helped at all, and no lights on dash coming up. It starts instantly and has plenty of grunt if I floor it. Does it with air con on or off, and with cruise control on or off...any ideas? Its ruining what is otherwise a lovely car! Also on another topic, I have found no imptovement in running/performance/economy using the more expensive fuel..what does everyone here run in thier cars? 91/95/98? Thank you very much for any help/ideas with this...I'm stumped!! |
