Vtech Gearbox help

Hey,

Found a Y80 box, with barcode Y80-1035036 on it.
Have called Strong Bros - who were not at all wanting to help, were rather grumpy infact.
Called Strong Honda in Auckland - very helpful, but couldnt tell exactly what it was.
Called Honda NZ - who didnt know either.

Anyone else know of a way to find out?
Apparently its out of a 94 B18c Integra, and is supposidly LSD, but the guy said he thinks it has a little bar across the gearbox hole - meaning its not LSD aye...

Is anyone able to shed any more light?

Cheers

correct, look through where the driveshafts go in, if u can clearly see through the otherside its LSD.
if u see a round pin going accross the hole then its single spinner.

Y80 is DC2
and there are many forms of S80 i believe, orthia S80, ITR S80, non ITR s80 etc

more infor from Strong Honda in Akl.

'I cant tell exactly what the gearbox is from but it will be a B series gearbox from a DC2/DB8 93-00 Integra the only way to tell if it is LSD is to look through the Gearbox(where the CV's go in) if you can see straight through it is LSD if there is a "pin" blocking the hole it is non LSD. It is highly unlikely but it may also be from a 1800cc non vtec B18B engine which have longer gear ratio's which may be better for your application but these are very rare so I would be more inclined to think that it is a VTEC type box.'

Now if you were to buy one of these yourself, what would you pay? Assuming the box is good condition etc. Private sale too.

Cheers

Need to determine if it is an LSD type box first before you can look at a price for it. There is a box on here for $400 at the moment but haven't seen an LSD box in good condition for under $1200.

And just to add a visual aid, here is a pic looking thru my h22a LSD box
