Hey there guys

Just a question.

Uhm everytime i give my car a hardtime, the engine check light turns on during 4th gear and vtec stops kicking in

This is really gay?
What could this be? and any advice would be good

He didn't say he was 4th gear vtecing...
He said the check light comes on in 4th gear and then Vtec doesn't engage.
I'm assuming he means in any gear.
Otherwise that's dodgy

no, only in 4th gear

1st, 2nd 3rd vtec engages goes hard etc, then 4th, checklight comes on and of course no vtec

It was on motorway on the way to auckland city, I was vtecing it yes but only around 120kmh/ i hit 4th and engine check light comes on and no vtec

.......... was up against a dc5r, was like half a car length behind from 2-3 gear but in 4th wen i lost vtec he flew away BASTARD LOL!!

Was thinking about racing on 14th Jan (sunday) at mermer but not much point without 4th gear vtec is there :wink:

Ill check the code tomorrow and get back to you guys, thnx for the help

Lol yes i know, but i jus got my car a wof and rego after almost 7 months. ill get the ecu code up l8er on 2day in about 2 hours or so...

Hey guys,

I went out for a drive with my friend just before, engaged 4th gear got to about 6000rpm and the engine check light came on and hence no vtec.

I slowed down turned around and pushed it a bit in 1st gear and their was no vtec either.

The ecu isnt chucking out any code.
Well theres 2 long red flashes which are then followed by 2 quick red winks. ( I dont think this is an error code

)

Just a hint for you, don't insult someone then basically say "oh no offence man just kidding".

We aren't going to start presuming that Jase has sped on public roads before and he is quite correct in saying that you should not be posting your illegal antics on a public forum especially one which emphasises that it wishes to maintain a good image by abiding by the law and it expects it members to assist them in doing this.
