CAM timing ??

Would it be possible to mess up the CAM timing by banging around the cam belt tensioners etc when swapping a engine?? Grasping at straws, car is running crazy rich won't rev and won't idle for more then a minute. No codes, swapped TPS, Coolant temp sensor, and Idle controll sensor, spark plugs, o2 sensor. Checked grounds. Need to check sensor on intake runners air temp? But can't get the screw out for the moment.
