Location: Porirua | It will be a B18CR engine, approx 200hp at the flywheel. Surely you would have to know a little of what these cars are capable of, i know i wouldnt outlay around 15 grand without checking out the car first ;-)

| or you went to one of those rip off hamiltron dealers that sell kitted out cars and sell them for like $5g more than market value.. hehe or else you got some serious machinary but yeah, why spend so much on a car that you dont even know anything about .. You got any pics? also - its weird that someone with this much lack of knowledge to put down that much money on a HONDA - let alone if they had that much money, most people go and buy a turbo car like a WRX, EVO, or something of the likes along those lines. But a Type R? i congratulate you for being different to other fools who think Turbo is everything. good luck anyways. |

| Senior Member 3,000rpm (Grandma Drag) | Too be honest, i live here in Hamilton and I WOULDEN'T EVER touch or buy a Type R here in Hams, I've seen afew just too see what it's got and too my knowledge it has JACk ALL in the engine internals and i bett at some stage of that cars life it propely been thrashed or crashed, of course the dealer is goner say stuff too get a noob too buy their cars and 20k for a Type R, No way! Dealers just slap on a bodykit, new 17" mag, slap on a 20k sign and SOLD too a Noob.. i've known guys who bought their Type R's here from as far as i know they have been having lots of problems with it ATM, LSD screwed, engine leaking oil, very smoky exhaust e.t.c. Just wanna put my 2 cents. Just wanna mention, the k's would be just under 100,000k and that would be sold here in hams for 20k (been wondering around at car yards for a SiR-T Accord ATM am better off looking in Auckland for a decent one.)

| I agree. 20k is way too much for a ITR. Even though it has body kit, mags and exhaust but it shouldn't cost over 16k. there were some done up ITR on sale in this forum before and it was only under 17k. Anyway, have fun with ur ITR and hope nothing will go wrong. |
