zc sump bolt

im after the size for a zc dohc sump bolt its currently in a 1989 honda civic si the bolt is stripped so i need the sizing 2 replace it when i take it off

it will be a metric fine or possibly even a pipe thread of some kind, sorry i don't have anything more definitive then that. Best bet is to just get another from a wreckers, no need to worry about the specifics of the thread then.

They sell them at Repco, they know which one wil fit.

Andd the plugs are designed to strip before the thread in the sump does. They are alot softer metal.
Eassier to replace a plug than re-tap your sump!

why dont you buy a awesome R-spec one like i did !

they have a super strong as magnet built onto it its fricken hardcore i picked up a 12" cresent with it no worries

picks up all metal flakes and crap / slug in ya oil

was like $19.95

another option is to get a Merc one, they are much longer so you can get ur sump re-tap with longer threads and u will never have this trouble again, I had this done on 2 of my Hondas, from memory the bolt only cost abt $10

or if ur in a bind, a quick and temp fix if u ever take a sump plug out and it stripped and cant put it back in, screw a sparkplug in it's place.. dodgy but it works to get to the auto store and back..

I epoxied mine in when i was a poor uni student.
i forgot about about it and drove around sweet as for about 3-4 months.
Rangi i know but it did do the trick.
