| Senior Member 4,000rpm (Taxi Drag) | Injector Sizes CRX Ok ive done a bit of researh on the net and asking some mates and stuff. And heres how its stands. My mate would like to increase the injector sizes on his 89 CRX engine. What i would like to know is what size are the injectors now and is there a direct replacement eg B16A injectors which a a little bit bigger. Also i have been told that it is possible to bore out standard injectors? As he has a spare engine that he could use as parts to see how it goes. If it is possible what size would be recomened to bore them out to he just wants a bit more fuel flow as hes getting a chip for his ECU. Another thing. On his spare engine he has a throttel body which we thought could also be bored out. But were not sure by how much and is it a hard job to do (By a Engineer or something) we understand that we will also need to get a new butterfly made. Is this a hard job to do by an engineer? Thanks for your help wise honda gurus |

| Senior Member 7,000rpm (Peak Power) | I guess you are refering to a ZC motor, If so try putting a DC2 in tank fuel pump in. As for injectors you will find some that work BUT you will have to check them to make sure they are the same impedance as what you already have or they wont work well or at all... you can also get a fuel pressure regulator.. The throttle body can be bored out and its worthwhile doing, I'd get the Inlet manifold bored out the same size as the throttle body aswell otherwise your wasting your time.. Plus pay someone to do it properly.. You can remove the throttle cooling system from it as well which helps free up a couple of hp.. Get some good plugs, oil, leads and advance the timing about 3 degrees over the factory spec's. Remove the power steering, A/C and then get a single puuley machined up instead of using a triple pulley.. Get an MSD external coil set-up for it. The list goes on, headers, different intake set-up's etc... I ran 14.7 in my 89 crx with a stock motor with a I/H/E and chipped ECU..
