Suspension installation, bushes

How much should it cost to replace 4 shocks/springs if I supply the parts? (don't have the time or anywhere to do it myself otherwise would be interesting to do...)

Also, is it worth replacing all the suspension bushes? The cars done 160,000k's im assuming on the original bushes. I was thinking also of getting polyurathane bushes as well, would the NVH be acceptable in a car with good shocks and springs that aren't too low (low kings- 30mm?)

Any comments appreciated...

Personally i would be expecting like around the $150-200 mark depending on where you go, and then alignment costs on top of that. They tend to charge more if they are not supplying the parts as they aren't making money off them, some may not even want the job if they don't know where the parts have come from as it could damage their reputation if there is any trouble with the parts or in case the parts don't fit.

Check you bushes to see if they are perished or cracked, this is the milage you can start expecting to have to replace a few of them. Most likely you will want to replace the rear lower trailing arm pivot bush if it has them, that and the front radius rod bushes if yours has these also seem to be common as the first to fail as they are usually the ones subject to more abuse when driving.

Urathane is ok, but i don't think i would replace all my bushes with them on a Honda. I replaced a few in my CRX and i noticed a bit increase in "feel" through the wheel, but also harsher road noise came through particularly when on uneven surfaces . . . like most NZ roads. The bigger cars probably would benifit more as there is more weight behind them and more car to absorb the effect but the smaller cars seem to suffer a bit like that.

I payed $550 to get the following done (Note this was through Honda though so its always expensive)

Install: Coilovers, Short Shifter, Front Camber Kit

Most places i talked to reakon it takes about 1Hour per corner to install springs

Yeah sorry, probably should have been in tech

It's on a BG GTX mazda btw, so I don't think i'll be needing a camber kit. Is it much of a job to do oneself (and then take it somewhere else for a wheel alignment)? If i'm leaving the springs on the shocks do I still need to compress them for anything?
