Re: 20/20 - Your opinion on Aliens

billions of galaxys = very small chance there isnt something else, but as for alien abductions i think these people are the scrapings of the bottom of darwins barrel tbh, soo mentally wrong that breeding should be monitored atleast.

the pics and video of the 'spaceships' are a little freaky, but its silly to think that spacecraft of this magnitude would rock seemingly glass windows :/ the fact that most descriptions are similar may not be down to chance... I think its down to weak control of the imagination and outside influences effecting what you think you know..simple psychology pwns alien believers!

Re: 20/20 - Your opinion on Aliens

well there seems to be more and more evidance to show that other planets have been capable of producing life/water etc......so my theory is one something like this (may have posted something like it ages back also) planets are giant organisims.....they live and die as we do......upon those organisms are more organisms and bacteria etc (humans, animals, whales etc) they live an co-exist until the planet dies (global warming, polar caps melting,floods....wheres my ark G) and soforth and so on......

Re: 20/20 - Your opinion on Aliens

The universe is infinite in its' size. You would have to have an extremely sheltered and linear life to even consider there to be no life apart from us in existence. Logically speaking, seeing as the universe is infinite in its size, there would be an infinite possibility for there to be other life; hence making the existence of other life certain.

As for abductions... who knows. I don't want to get started on that one as it will just end up being another one of my essay-like posts.

Re: 20/20 - Your opinion on Aliens

I strongly believe in the existance of Aliens, it is just illogical to think with the billions of galaxies out there and the billions of planets within each galaxy we are the only one with life. Just because we haven't found them yet doesn't mean they don't exist.

Well what about if we focus on life within our direct solar system?

Does that change opinions?

untill we get off this planet and get to mars (the only other planet even remotely capable of sustaining life at some point in its past, and the only one we are capable of visiting easily with current technologies) id say we are definately alone NOW in our solar system. they HAVE discovered water on mars tho and other building blocks, so who knows?

war of the worlds anyone?

as for the rest of the milky way and the stars beyond: HELL YES there are other life forms out there, weather being single-celled organisms like bacteria or "intelligent" like us or dolphins or mice etc

Re: 20/20 - Your opinion on Aliens

Nope even within our direct solar system I'm still not convinced there can't be life. I mean even with all the technology now we haven't explored the planets of our solar system properly.

Also, it intrigues me how scientists make their decision on whether a planet can harbour life based on Earth. Who is to say other planets have carbon based life forms, who said aliens need water to live. Using earth logic may give us an idea of the planet's environment, but I don't agree with concluding whether a planet can harbour life based on it. For example, we deem Venus to be uninhabitable since the surface temp is 460 degrees celcius and the atmosphere is made up of mainly CO2 with sulfur dioxide and nitrogen. But who are we to say some organisms haven't evolved to live in those conditions? Heaps of animals on earth have evolved to live in extreme earth conditions. So it makes sense the same will happen on other planets. Also we deem the conditions to be extreme because we are comparing it to earth. Exactly like if someone from Africa came here they will be freezing their nuts off since COMPARED to Africa we are freezing. Africans may say how the hell can you live here it's so cold, but it's just perspective.

Applying that to Venus maybe there are organisms that live confortably on Venus, and when they peer through their telescopes and see Earth they might be saying omg how can things live their there's so much water and oxygen and it's too cold.

Anyways that's my 2c, /end essay.

Sadly nowdays many people are too ignorant and lack the motivation to believe in things that aren't explicitly explained to them. If there isn't proof of something, they immediately dismiss it as hearsay. Plus, when you combine the current hatred towards all things extremist, and the worlds history of persecuting those who hold faith towards the supernatural; it is understandable that many people will - without thought - just label anything UFO related as being absurd. It is their loss though, they will lead a life less spiritually fulfilled. Part of being an enlightened being is thinking about things beyond what you see before your eyes. All of times most successful societies, such as the Mayans, have all had extremely developed insights into science, astrology, and the supernatural. Our current society has just become far too materialistic.

Re: 20/20 - Your opinion on Aliens

I wanna hear some first hand experiences on here, surely someones thought to have seen little green men...

I fully agree with you MMJA i think people are too set on Earth conditions being the only option. Yes its going to increase the chances of life completely (based on what we no), but that doesn't mean its the only way life can grow.

Anyone see an article the other day in the paper about scientist's who want to study into dark matter more, for the hope of breaking the speed of light. Whether its a success or not doesn't really matter to me, i say big to people who are trying to think out of the box. Damn I gotta watch some more Discovery channel that shits awesome.

And Lol at the bottom of VTAKYO's bottom post, definetly getting deep (even though i agree with what you said) I think generally the unknown is shunted by soceity because people generally shit there pants about it. But you can't disregard it at all. Just because we can't see it, it doesn't mean its not there. I get frustrated with people who don't keep their minds open about things like this, and only believe in things that can be scientifically proved.
