Seems like too much of a take-off of MXC like Japanese shows, except set in a PC country which has too much of a requirement for safety precautions. There is just a lack of imagination in the courses, and the contestants do indeed seem like actors/actresses. Still, makes decent enough watching... just another bloody American reality TV series, which I think we are all becoming accustomed to  (not that we have a choice).
