Brilliant.
Only thing I could fault was Batmans ridiculous voice.
I disagree, when ever a movie gets hyped up its always a let down, now in no way am I saying this movie is crap, far from it, def one of my top 10 movies of all time, but when you look at it the only thing it really has going for it is the joker.

Heath ledger did an amazing job, but I can bet that it made twice as much money only because he has passed away, people who knew nothing about batman went to see it solely because he has passed away, sad but true. I still think Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lector in the Silence of the Lambs is the freakiest character in a movie yet.

So only slightly overrated, still very good. But could have changed a few points to make it better. 8/10

Re: Whos seen The Dark Knight??

Just got back from this. Really good movie in my opinion. All parts were played really well & was easy story line to follow

Batmans voice was awesome, you can tell he has a hard night on the night getting drunk and stoned.

I haven't seen it yet so won't comment on the film, I just can't help but wonder how much less hype there would be, or how different people would be reacting had Heath Ledger not died....

Re: Whos seen The Dark Knight??

I enjoyed it, I didn't realise Tim Burton didn't do this one. I didn't notice anyway. It was long and slowed a little two thirds in, but it was loud and the dialogue was pretty good.

I too wondered this before seeing it, and weather he was going to deserve all the hype.
But after seeing his performance, I think people need to stop thinking that the fact he died makes a difference to his efforts.

Hmmm, strange, I give it cred for having Batman alter his voice. It pisses me off when dual identity characters use their same voice with people who know them well. As if you wouldn't pick it up...

10/10 as far as i'm concerned. Even better in IMAX...

Re: Whos seen The Dark Knight??

Just got back from seeing it now ...
I thought it was shit. What a let down.

The guy that plays BatmanG (don't know who he is and I don't really care) done just as shit of a job playing out the 'Dark Knight' as he did in the last one. The Joker was played out rather well but his make-up was just arse, lol.

Weaksauce film IMO.
I give it a 6 out of 10

Re: Whos seen The Dark Knight??

People always think more of people who died before/during their prime.
Heath Ledger's self-death didn't exactly hurt the PR for the film
I can't wait to see it though!

Re: Whos seen The Dark Knight??

Personally i think Heath Ledger acted the part as it was needed and proved he isn't a shallow performer, although I didn't find him super wtf awesomeo. I think i went in expecting a bit too much of the movie due do his death. I still found it worth the twenty paid though.

I had a thought about how many people actually knew who played batman and who played the joker.

Also, Batman, close ur freaking lips when you're not talking jesus. The voice is bad enough lol. I think the earlier Batman kinda sucked and this was a bit overhyped but still a decent action flick.

Re: Whos seen The Dark Knight??

just saw it probably one of the best films I've seen...just a bit too long as I was expecting it to finish and it just kept on going

9.5/10 is my vote, however what happened to 2face, did he die from the fall?

Re: Whos seen The Dark Knight??

Christian Bale > Michael Keaton anyday haha
It was definitely the darkest of all the Batman movies so far. Well I guess if you compare it to Mr Freeze/Arnold i.e. the worst villain ever anything is good
