Is it just me or Personalised Plates rediculously priced?

Off to sell my PPlate on TM - shows some people think their plates are worth thousands of $$$!! wtf up with that.

they call them "investments"

"TE" will only set you back 7k haha

and soo many over $1500 !!

Maybe i should put 2k on mine and wait 5 years for a desperate honda owner

Re: Is it just me or Personalised Plates rediculously priced?

Shit yeah they are some over priced no brainer ideas on trademe. I picked up a bargin recently for $196 so there are a few that aren't bad if they're put up on a $1 res auction.

I've got 4XFOUR sitting at home, i bet that would be worth a fair bit.

looks like the ones that person has sold have all been at $1 Reserve, and seems like he ended up only getting like 400 for one of them lol

He used to get thousands of views and like 100 questions per auction. But he tends to blacklist you if you post up something that's not praising his auction. Now his auctions barely gets 10 views and no one bothers commenting, probably all got blacklisted.

Yeah i reckon! I'd get my ideal plate which is still available. You'd think because all of the good options have gone and the overall potential number of options is alot less that in theory they'd be alot cheaper. They'd definetly sell more if that was the case....

It sucks because all the good names are taken up, so pointless really unless you think of a one off which is quite hard

^That's true, virtually impossible to make anything with proper letters now. Always have to substitute with numbers so it looks like l33t sp34k.
