Similar incident happened to my sister a few months back at the Pak n Sav carpark which is only a few minutes from there. She had just finished her shopping and went back and sat in her car when some low life c*nt tried to open her door and snatch her bag that was in the passenger seat! Luckily for her, locking the doors straight after we get in the car is a common practice in our house hold now.

I say 1+ for the asian justice system. A fortnight ago when I was still back in VN for my holiday I was at the local markets when there was this young guy that tried to steal some random crap from one of the stalls. As soon as the owner found out what was going on he quickly grabbed some random chain (bike chain??) and whipped the f*cker in the leg so he couldn’t walk away. What was more amazing was how all the other stall owners around there worked in a group and started giving the guy a good beating.

I swear to god this happened for a good 5 minutes with a crowd gathering and having a go at him before the cops came. Im pretty sure that guy learnt a lesson that day, and whats worst (or better I should say), when the cops came he got another beating from them.

there is a possibility that they burnt the car that was used in the bag snatch..

(well an identical car was found burnt out in manukau) and the only reason why youd burn out a post 2000 car is if it was waay too hot to strip for parts..

just been confirmed it is the vehicle and it was a stolen vehicle.. taken from GI!.. did a fair bit of traveling to get to manukau then..

I'm just so used to:
When someone is suspected to have stolen a car.. pull out weapon, disable safety, leave trigger finger at the trigger guard and ask the suspect to get out of the vehicle.

You don't exchange pleasantries with suspects. They have their rights and that should be enough. None of this, "G'day mate, blah blah blah nice guy talk. You'll have to come to the station with me. Hop on to the back seat."
