| Senior Member 5,000rpm (VTEC Power!) | Burger Fuel Meet (56k no no) Hey guys, not sure if this happens in other cities but I think it's pretty cool so I though I'd post it up. So Burger Fuel in Napier currently runs Hot Rod nights on the first thursday of every month. It involves everyone meeting up, showing off their cars and then going for a decent cruise around Hawke's Bay. Not much choice for import cars however so around a month ago the Manager of Burger Fuel and came and asked me to help him set up an import night. To cut a long story short, First tuesday of every month we now run an 'import x' night. It's sponsored by Burger Fuel, Maximum Performance and the Car Wash Company. We all meet up at Burger Fuel around 6.30 and catch up, have a chat with all the guys then go for a nice cruise organised by Richie Lay Snr. They have prize packs for nice cars that turn up; best car, best rota, 6 cyl, 4 cyl etc and they hand these out before the cruise. It's actually a really cool night and I am hugely greatful that these companies are willing to come out and give us car enthusiests a hand to do something where the cops aren't going to be harrasing us. Normally know one wants to know about *grumblegrumble* 'boy racers' so It's great to see people that want to support us. Anyway here are some pics of the night. Around 30 cars turned up which is more than I'd expect on a winter tuesday night. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It was quite a fun time apart from a couple of people getting lost during the cruise. It should go off in the summer, was a bit cold last nite Wild R is owned by Richard Lay Snr (I think) not sure if Jnr still owns it, could be owned by the company. Snr drives it around sometimes, I don't think Jnr is allowed to drive it atm, he's been getting in a bit of trouble at the pubs lately... That boy is a savage piss jockey |

Jnr is always straight up, I've always got on with him really well as he is good mates with a friend of mine. Some people like him and others don't, thats just the way it is. He got a bit of help with sponsors that helped fund a few things but good on him.

Yea it was a really good night, The manager of Burger Fuel got some floodlights so everyone could see all the cars and even got a DJ to come along and play. There were even some nice cars out. The supra was the best though, its running 500hp atm and can run 700 on 24psi. Josh didn't bring Pats old RX007 out though, I think it's still up in auckland either getting retuned or getting it ready for the track. Something like that anyway. A couple of Evo 8's were out, a worked version 6 Sti, a type R with spoon internals, two turbo R34's worked up EG sedan. There's actually some nice cars down here. The meet is a good chance for people who don't normally go out cruising to come have some fun, surprisingly no dickheads turned up to ruin it |

I am sure if you talk to the owners in your hood they may well be keen to do this as well or at least give it a go. I hear some good rumours there are a few more stores opening up around the country so watch this space.
