They were sayig something about a place in town to get it other then usual aa vtnz

Would be handy to have instead of dodging check points in a tractor

Its mega baller alright, just put the stereo in today, also did some work on the Bolster slides, re-aligned the headlights, cleaned the tar off the cab, took off the old bush number, Checked the lights, relocated the dodgied up light switch, extended the diff lock switch wires so its closer to reach for the driver, and to top it all off found out that its getting a brand new Isringahausen seat on Tuesday!!

tape deck? wtf is a "tape deck"
once the boss stops driving permanantly (needs a hip replacement) the truck will be mine full time. hes already ok'ed a new stereo, speakers etc
ill also be remounting some of the spreader computer controls and shit so they are visable and i dont actually have to turn my head to check rates etc. its currently tucked down beside the drivers seat with race tape holding it in position, which isnt ideal driving across a rough as guts paddock.
going to get a bracket made up and have it placed up above the centre airvents on the dash.
also need to sort out the extra lights that are fitted on the mirrors for night spreading, they dont throw enough light out and they dont give a big enough ark. ideally id like 180 degrees from the doors forward

These would be ideal for the spreader Marc. We run a pair of these on the headboard of the loggers and they're excellent. As for the spreader controls you're idea is perfect. Having everything at hand and easy to see is great. Our newer logger has its Phone a bit too far to the left on the dash and I find it to be a bit odd. The older one however has it mounted up high and seeing as Dad and I both sit up high the phone is in the perfect place. Pity I placed the stereo down low so I can barely reach it

To get decent lighting from my xperence with work lights you need xenon
the difference between the tractors with xenon rear work lights and without is insane
1 xenon > 2 or 3 normal lights and they look damn cool

and make the bracket for controls so you dont have to lean out of your set to change stuff if you leaning to change settings and hit something your screwed

yeah the bracket for the spreader computer is going above the air vent in the centre of the dash, so i can see what the hell my spreading rates and how much shit has flung out the back of the truck. the boss has fitted the independant front brake controls infront of the gearstick and the physical controls to turn it on and off, rate of spread and airbrake is behind the stick.

ill ask him about the lights again on monday, im off till then
might go do some research so i can give him prices and such like on various setups.

can ya grab me some pics of ya light setups please guys? so i have some idea of what i should do

the true measure of a good truck is how well your coffee cup (or stubbie) fits in the cup holder

Well thaught id jump in here and post some pics of what i've been driving recently.

Mitsi track base with 700 gallon hydroseeder on the back

Cant drive this one for a couple more weeks, tho im probably the one sprayn on the top of it. Its a MAN identical to the one previously posted in the thread, equiped with a 1900 gallon tank and twin 100mm canons. It sprays 50m+ with ease

A few pics of our Scania tractor units. These ones are based in Auckland and we have others based in WLG and CHC.
I couldn't be bothered walking around the other side of the depot to get shots of the daily Isuzu's, Mitsi's and more Scanias.

Finally got some photos of some of our fleet, well the two Isuzus are. We are thinking of purchasing the ERF and Argosy in a few weeks time. ERF has a 525 Cummins and Argosy has a 550 C15 Cat.

Been running around in both the Isuzus during the weekends lately, doing general maintanence on them. Have been driving both the bin trucks lately, sadly the little one got broken into and my 5 day old Blaupunkt stereo is now gone

Yep you sure can, of course not with a trailer. Had a quick drive of our Chipliner with a load of wood on last week, was a wee bit heavy at 26 tonne Truck only but sure was fun to drive.

Argosy FTW, heaps of the guys down here run 'em as loggers. Seem to be pretty reliable.
