| Senior Member 4,000rpm (Taxi Drag) | Disturbed's NZ Tour Well..... I just got back from the coolest fucking rock concert ever. My mate Sarah and I got there (it was her birthday present) at 6.45 and stood in line for like 40 minutes.. but then got inside and since it was in the Town Hall Auditorium it wasn't huge, which was good, because it meant not too many people and you could get really close to the stage in the dance floor (read: mosh pit) (Of course, being only a handful of metres from the stage meant it was extremely loud, but I digress) Anyway, the warm up band 'Redline' were actually really good, but Disturbed was awesome. They played for over an hour and a half (how many bands do that now?) and had the whole place on their feet (including the seated areas) dancing the whole time. (This was also helped when the lead singer told everyone who was sitting down that it was fucking rude, and if they wanted to sit on their arses all night they should have stayed at home and watched TV) All of their songs were excellent, and they played each one as hard and as loud as the previous. In between songs he asked the crowd what they thought of Rock & Roll in todays society, and then proceeded to talk about how shit he thought it was, ruined by a bunch of bands who all sound the same - 90% of them starting with 'The', that have come out in the last few years, going on about how they were 'Christian rock bands' whilst wearing eye makeup, and how all their songs were about how their teenage girlfriend dumped them so they cried all the way home on their skateboards. Couldn't agree more.. 'Voices', 'Striken', 'Prayer', 'Stupify' and of course 'Down with the Sickness' were all shit hot. Anyway, any of you in Auckland who are thinking about going, you really really should go, and any of you who are going, its really really good. You guys will enjoy it. Its not often I'd say this, but its one of the few few bands who I'd say sound better live than they do on some enhanced tinkered-with CD version. I will have the sorest neck and back tomorrow, and hopefully the ringing in my ears goes away in a couple of days, but it was hell worth it. Disturbed for the win. 8)

Location: Tauranga | Damn they're sold out. If they weren't i would've gone on and got some right now. Finances have taken a huge beating lately and if the concert was in a couple of weeks i would have been first in line. |

Location: Christchurch | i gotta say the chch show last night was awsome! I got there bout 7:30 and walked straight in, no queing Didn't hear much of the band before disturbed, but once disturbed started it was just awsome, they really are a great band to see live, well worth going to. Playing for hour and a half was a bonus didnt expect them to play for so long at all. Sickness is one of the best live songs ive heard/seen

| i havnt herd that much about this band "disturbed" but they sound like good wholesome family entertainers. I hope they dont play that "rock and/or roll" music as it is a tool of the devil. An hour and a half isnt bad at all but it isnt uncommon, even the rolling stones played for 1 hour and 45. I think motorhead played for that long as well |

I've spent the whole day listening to them, wishing I could go again tonight. I guess my only advice for those going to the Auckland gig is to get as close into the mayhem of the floor as possible, at the end of the night, a few bruises aside, its really worth it. Isn't that what its about anyway? ![]()

| Just got home form dropping everyone off at home - what a concert! As already stated above they were most impressive live. Only sore point I had was my group of six mates being split up into two groups of three when we found out we didn't all have the same kind of tickets. Three of us (including me ) got the dreaded yellow wristbands and were banished to the upstairs to watch in the seated area. Gay. Would much rather have gotten into it downstairs but it just wasn't meant to be. Stricken, Stupify and Down with the Sickness were my highlights.  |
