Attn: All Computer Geeks!!!

A few months back I saw a hard drive on trademe and forgot to bid for it so I lost the auction. This isn't an ordinary hd, its a portable one in which you can plug into you tv and play everything thats in it (I think it's got software built-in to play) and now I can't seem to find this type of hd, anyone seen this before or know about it? I WANT ONE

"The device supports mpeg1/2/4 (avi, vob, iso dvd, divx, xvid/vod, mpg)"

What more do you want?

Ive got a Vosonic X's-Drive with 80gb hdd
http://www.flashcards.co.nz/catalog/...roducts_id=610

Plays mp3/wma and divx/avi etc and has RCA out's for stereo and tv.

I mainly use mine for storage when I'm out taking photos. Compactflash and other media cards plug directly into it and get copied to the disc so you can reuse the cards.

Alot of new DVD-players have a harddrive built in along with DVD writer, usually the HDD is about 160GB+ and you've got the added bonus of a DVD-writer without needing a computer..

get a video card that has dvi out or svideo
get a tv with dvi or 15 pin din

svideo and rca are poor quality even at high res. as it to fuzzy.

. problem solved and use your tv like a computer screen. thats what i do..
nothink like 32" wide screen in 800x600 cranking a few games

Is it just a laptop hard drive?

Can you buy it without the harddrive?

True - Will do, I've got a 100gb drive that I have in another enclosure, no point in doubling up.
