Yeah, why do you need another tacho? The factory one is sweet.

exactly... factory tacho will be more than fine for what you need. Aftermarket tacho is for nothing more than the wank factor

Nah man its for the hardcore racers. Was following a rugged rotor yesterday (i can't emphasise enough the ruggedness of it) when i noticed his tacho was on the skew, pointing towards the empty passenger seat. Weird i thought, maybe its the new trend to get you passengers to change gears.

Driving along then noticed him move it around a bit and then face it towards himself. It wasn't even mounted on the dash, it was just sitting there. The car was rugged so it sorted looked at place anyway.

Then stopped at the lights and realised, whoops its not evn f**king working. It was just sitting on the dash doing SFA

Each to thier own but IMO they're pretty pointless, especially the monster ones that cover the whole dash

Can't you just link it to the factory tacho feed?

i find that hilarious... i hate the whole dinner plate/stage light look on the dash, don't see the point either myself, perhaps a little shift light but that's about all i would go for.

Perhaps then you should learn to listen to the sound of your engine so you don't need a gauge to tell you what rpm you're doing

You dont need a tacho if you have a rev limiter, you soon know when to shift....

Dude wtf.

What do you mean it's hard to hear the engine? What do you think that nose is? The gearbox?
