IF YOU OWN A HONDA IT WILL GET NICKED...OR BROKEN IN TO...IT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS KNOW AND IT IS THE SECOND TIME IT HAPPEND TO ME FIRST TIME THEY NICKED MY CAR AND THE POLICE FOUND IT IN OTARA!!! AND JUST TODAY WHEN I WAS IN ST HELIERS BAY THAY TRAYED TO BRAKE IN TO MY CAR BUT LUCKY THAY DIDINT GET IN ALL THAY LEFT BEHIND WAS THERE SCREWDRIVER...

SO TO ALL OFF YOU HAVE A LOOK OUT AND PARK YOUR CARS AT A SAVE PLACE WHERE THERE IS HEAPS OF CARS OR HEAPS OF LIGHT AT LEAST

How can you say it WILL get nicked?? Yes there is a higher chance of theft/break ins with a nice modified car, but its not a 100% guaranteed fact that it WILL get stolen.

Car theft/break-ins are a fact of life. It's happened to me 3 times now despite my best intentions, so I'm forking out $3800 a year for a secure, camera-covered park in the city, as well as having an immobiliser, paralyser, alarm and pager. It's damned expensive but that's the sort of lengths you have to go to these days to (almost) guarantee your car's safety and security.

Even so, the most determined thief could probably still rock on in there with a flatbed truck and hoist, lift my car up (all sirens-a-gogo), chuck it on the back and high-tail it out of there. But he'd have to not care about roof clearance or turning circles. I'm assuming, of course, that he'd choose an EK Civic over the new Mercs, BMWs, HSVs etc.

Of course, it also means I have a great park in the city and can leave my car there while I'm out on the tiles and know it'll still be there, exactly the way I left it.

Trouble21, have you ever thought that maybe with a very easy to take sub just sitting in the very easy to get into part of your car called a "boot" that it may be a very easy to get some coin for a poor thief if he knicks your car or breaks into it. sure its an inconvience but some people don't really have that much money as people think.
What if you get a car but then save up the money for the insurance? There are people out there who are careful of there cars and all.

All im saying is Yes people should have insurance for there cars but there are some exceptions. :wink:

yea but dont forget, if they crash into someone..they gotta pay and chances are its not going to be cheap. for instant you get a car on HP but dont have get insurance and crash into someone ., wat do you do pay for someone's else car and your car to get fixed and all the the car loan payments. Im not saying that if you dont have insurance you are more likely to have a crash, but you do have to what your own back.
